Generally it's one ride upto the promotional amount
Why not read their promotional FAQ?
What happens if my ride costs more than $20?
You'll have to pay the difference, i.e if your ride is $23.70, you'll have to pay $3.70. This amount will be debited from your registered payment method on your Uber account.
Good idea haha
Your free $20 ride will be redeemable in Melbourne only, from Friday midnight 29th September to 6:00am Sunday 1st October 2017
Its for new and existing
Ohh thanks… I stupidly just clicked the referral link instead of the "Go to Deal" link
Is this for new or existing riders?
Both! Whether you're new to Uber or an existing rider, you're eligible to register. If you are new, ensure to download the app before the weekend to redeem your ride.
Look out for dat surge pricing!

If you are new to Uber, remember to register with code WESTPAC25 for $25 off your first ride and double dip with this promo
I live in SA but I'll be at the GF, I hope I can use this credit!
Thanks OP - I'm registered for the code now:
"You're all signed up to enjoy the 2017 AFL Grand Final responsibly with a ride home from Carlton Draught and Uber.
Keep an eye on your inbox on Friday 29th September for your free $20 ride, just in time for the game.
Remember, you'll need an Uber account to redeem your ride. "
Just keep in mind that with uber's surge pricing (very likely during Grand Final night) $20 wont get you very far.
I am an Uber fan but try and get one to and from the grand final and you will be hit with triple or maybe quadruple surge pricing.
Can you use this voucher anywhere in Melbourne or do you have to going or coming from the football ?

edit: ok now
Has anybody received their code yet?
Not me…
It just arrived.
How do I redeem the code? It says redemption limit exceeded when I added the promo/gift code..
i entered the code into the payment tab under promotions, and it registers, but then i don't see it again? nothing payment options and when i request a ride..
edit now that its past 12am, the start of the promotion period, the coupon is now showing. thanks!
The wording is a little ambiguous - "free Uber ride (up to $20)"
I wonder if it's $20 credit, or a free ride only if it's less than $20.
