If you like thick, creamy yoghurt, you should try Procal. Best by far !!!

Still boycotting this crap watery yoghurt!!

      Thanks, more for me.

2kg bucket for $8.69 at Costco texture can be a little bland but watery? The 5kg $10 stuff is watery. Chobani just needs stuff mixed into it or go for the green label stuff which has a higher fat content.

You're arm would hurt a bit less if you didn't type your last line.

    • Aye, but if he didn’t post it then and there a few ozbargainers might have missed out on their Chobani. They may have paid full price (!)

I like the chobani flips which at currently half price in coles.

    • I'm interested in these, which flavours have you tried/would recommend?

      • +3

I like the salted caramel and key lime crumble flavor.

      • +4

I've tried them, I find them too sweet and overpriced (at RRP).

        • +3

True. I think these are more desserty than actual yoghurt. We choose Chobani cause the dietitian says it's alright.

        • @anastasiastarz:

          The dietitian says it's alright

Either your dietician is sponsored/works for chobani or they are just plain bonkers.

It's alright yes, but is it the healthiest Greek yogurt? Lol no.

        • @pennypincher98: it's probably the best balance is health vs not treating like acid.

@anwstasuastarz your dietitian would not recommend the flips as they have 2-3x the sugar of the normal pots

        • @buckster: Lol yeah the flips are literally mostly sugar :/

        • @pennypincher98: But the Flips are like a dessert yogurt though so they shouldn't be compared. If you eat those over normal yogurt thinking the same thing you're deluding yourself (no, I'm not saying YOU'RE doing it..I'm saying in general).

        • @pikapika: yes I know lol, they aren't the same. But if you are getting a "flavoured" yoghurt you must appreciate and realise the fact that there is a lot of sugar in them, added and natural.

The plain Greek yoghurt is good in terms of health v sugar, but then again aren't they all?

        Strawberry!

    • It's the only Chobani I'll eat. Better yoghurts out there otherwise.

  • +2

I alternate this with Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy.

Just thought I'd tell others that the yogurt packs may be close to expiration. I saw this deal at my local woolworths as well as one in the next town over and checked the dates at both locations and saw the expiry dates were less than a week from being expired. Not sure if it matters a lot with yogurt, but I suggest getting them only if it's for like multiple people or you can eat a lot of yogurt in a short time.

    • +1

Expiry dates for yogurt don't mean much. Chobani tubs can be safely eaten (and without a taste change) months after "expiration".

      • Ah, I see, that's why I said I don't know if it meant a lot. Just something that caught my eye while checking the deal at my shop, thought I'd share just in case. Thanks for the info, learned something today!

    • +1

Expiry date is mostly for marketing purpose to keep people buying before the"actual" expiry date.

    • Just bought a heap of black cherry Chobani pots, expiry is more than a month away, Oct 17.

  • +2

Not the best yogurt, I'd choose to pay more for other brands. Soz!

  • +1

Considering these are half price every 2-3 weeks at either Woolworths or Coles, not the best deal ever.

    • +2

And half price is $1.12 vs $1.25, and you don't have to buy 8 of them.
Waiting for the special they are just $1 flat.

      • Used to see them down to $1 all the time, but lately have only noticed half price deals?

        • Yeah only half price lately, I probably didn't really pay attention (ie I wasn't an OzB savvy shopper) back then so missed the $1 ones :(

Best I can hope for now is reduced stock lol

  • Not very nice yogurt. And watch your expiry dates in Woolies, the staff don't rotate the stock very well so when things are on sale and moving fast the expired items from 2 months ago can come to the front. Happens all the time at my Woolies for yogurts and fresh juice.
