Nationwide deal? Has anyone else seen this in NSW stores?

    • +2

well OP bought it in Eastgardens which is NSW

  • +3

Wow that is an insane price. Definitely worth it for the singleplayer campaign alone, which is fantastic. Really good space sci-fi action.

    • +4

I've overlooked every CoD game for years because I assume the single player is crap and I have no interest in multiplayer and finding out every 13 year old's opinion of my mum. Thanks, might try pick this up.

      • You're kind of missing out. The single-player games are usually entertaining to play, once. The multiplayer on PC is usually free of mouthy kids, on PC hardly anyone chats at all, though a lot of the PC games the multiplayer has all but died off. In short, give it a try, you might be surprised.

    • +1

Agreed, I enjoyed the single play campaign.

Great deal! Stock seems VERY limited though.

  • How to check stock availability online?

  • +4

I can confirm this for QLD - Sunshine Coast.

Still marked at usual price but took it to the counter and it came up as $5. Apparently they're not stocking PC games anymore, wanting to clear them out, so it might be worth checking all the others too.

    • Which store did you check?

      • Kawana - there was one left about 1 hour 30 min ago. Xbox section, bottom right. It's kind of hidden in the dark.

        • Got it. Thanks

  • Man, they really (profanity) themselves with the whole MW remastered situation hey.

Too bad no one will remember come November when WWII drops.

  • does this include mw remastered?

    • Nah it doesn't. Just IW itself

      • too bad the big w near my place don't have pc gaming section, what a shame

        • +1

Nor did mine, i just found it on the bottom of the shelf inbetween ps4 and xbone

        • @azza9000: wow lucky

  • +2

Does it come with a CD or is it just a DVD case with a download code in it?

    • +5

6 discs, plus a code for steam

      • +1

Thanks for the reply, very nice find OP!

  • +1

local Big W hasn't stocked PC games for at least a year

  • anyone know where you can get the season pass on the cheap?

  • +1

Just picked up one in Victoria. It's the full DVD set.

    • Hey mate. I live just down the road from there, were there any left after you got that one?

      • +1

They are behind the counter, nothing on shelves. Pretty sure i saw another one when he was looking.

        • Thanks mate. Might make a quick trip down there in the morning (unless i go now and can make it in 26 minutes, hmmm)

  • +2

Thank's OP picked up 4 for myself and a few mates. Division is also $10. Had like 10-15 of them at the Calamvale Store

    • Wow, at $10 division is a freaking steal, definitely recommend that to anyone thats even remotely interested in that game

    • Where are the PC games at Calamvale? When I go and check, there's none.

      • +1

Ask the person working at tech. It is inside the drawer.

        • Thanks for the info!

    • Sadly there doesn't seem to be any copies around my area :(

  • +2

WA - called Cockburn, Armadale and livingston. None available.

Had to go to the shops with wife and kids anyway, asked the guy at Livingston to check the other PC games. Fallout 4 still scanned at $35.

    BUT

Black Ops 3 scanned at $10.

Grabbed one copy, still 2 available.

    Good luck!

  • anyone have any luck around the blacktown area NSW? seems most stores don't have it around me

  • Has anyone picked one up in SA yet?

  • +1

It is ridiculous that a box containing 6 discs sells for a much lower price than a purely digital purchase. Digital is pure profit, free of manufacturing and transportation costs.

    • They aren't selling it for $5 so much as they are just getting rid of them quick and freeing up more valuable shelf and warehouse space.

  • +1

wow this is not too bad for hte price of a single player game :)

    Stock check

Go to the homepage to change postcode then click on the link.

    • +1

thanks for this, seems almost all the local ones are out of stock

    • +1

Nice. i was trying to look for a stock check last night. None in my area. Guess I'm out of luck. I should go play my $10 copy of The Division anyway especially with all the patching they've done on it.

  • They will have to pay me to make me buy that game.

  • Can I put this on steam?

    • +1

Yes includes a code for steam according to OP above

  • Would EB games price match this ?

    • Usual price matching conditions will apply. Depends on whether they will check if the local Big W has stock first… at $5, I think most EB stores will.

    • EB don't price match on clearance items

Picked up a copy at the QV Big W in Melbourne CBD, still a couple of copies left at the time I was there.

They didn't have a PC section either so get the impression that they're clearing all PC stock - backed up by the fact that they didn't have any cases so I ended up leaving with the 6x CDs and steam code in a zip lock sandwich bag :)

Classic Big W. I remember walking out with two copies of Gears of War 3 since the guy forgot to remove the discs.

    • I was at QV Big W at 8:35am and the lady said they didn't have any, shattered to hear they did! :(
Good purchase mate, obviously got someone a tad more helpful than I did aha

  • Got a copy in Townsville NQ.
    1 left at Stockland.

  • Just checked nothing left at QV Big W

  • they had copies of the cd @ blacktown but had no cases for the game and wouldnt sell it :(

    • -1

Blacktown BIGW is just a crazy place. Often don't mark down their stuff. I remember getting a couple of sets of those gimmicky fashion headphones for $3-5 each when they had dozens of them and no mark down price.

  • My mate & I picked up the last two from Big W in Charlestown, NSW. The girl selling it to us bought herself a copy too! They didn't have a PC section either, only XBox & PS4. May go and ask for the Division at $10 if they have any.
    Edit: 6 discs plus code

  • +1

My local Big W said it doesn't have any and they pretty much don't sell any PC games anymore.

  • If anyone can grab me a copy I'd be extremely grateful - all I'm after is the code for Steam!

  • Most Big Ws don't do PC games

  • Strathpine QLD has one (1) PC game: World of Warcraft - Warlords of Draenor. And its $10.

  • 2 left at Narellan this arvo

  • The ratings for this game are awful on Steam. Even for $5, I'd give it a miss (C&C 4 has shown me that even a $5 game can be completely unplayable).

  • Got this yesterday from Spearwood WA BigW, activated fine.
    Sleepless weekend coming up!
