Does this only need SD card and operating system and is ready to go
OR
Does it need Ram added too… If so what and where
Needs an SSD or HD, memory and OS.
by memory I assume you mean ram. Do you have a link or specifics on what type
Intel NUC 7i3BNH Memory requirements
Supports max of two x 1.2V DDR4 SO-DIMMs
1866 MHz and 2133 MHz
Unbuffered, non-ECC
Single-sided or double-sided
Minimum recommended memory: 2 GB
Maximum memory: 32 GB
Serial presence detect (SPD)
Please check the Intel Supported and tested ram list before buying RAM
www.cmtlabs.com/2012/memCertPartSearchResultsAll.asp?bNav=Tr…
Note:
DDR3/DDR3L memory modules are not supported.
If you plan to install just one x SO-DIMM, install it in the lower memory socket.

https://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/support/boards-an…
Note: Case will only fit 1 x M.2 drive and one 2.5" SSD/HDD/
Installation:
1. You will need to separately download the NUC install files for your operating system e.g. Windows 10 from the Intel site as it doesnt come with an installation disk. (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/95066/Intel-NUC-Kit…)
Total cost = Intel NUC + RAM + SDD/HDD + operating system
If you want to run two HDMI monitors you will need to buy an extra adapter cable (not expensive online). This NUC has 1 x HDMI 2.0a and 1 x USB-C. So you will need a USB-C to HDMI adapter cable.
Any feedback on how this devices functions as a 4K media centre device? Eg, does it support hardware decoding of all the latest and greatest or is it missing some functionality ?
I wish there was a better price on the i5 one or the i7 one
