        • @dosifey:let's hope they get targeted again…

  • eBay subsidizes the discounts themselves. I tried a do a price match on one of the participating retailer at their bricks and mortar shop, the manager recommended me buying on ebay and even showed me his own ebay purchases from his own store!!
This is verified by a friend who works in ebay as well.

    • Only a portion mate. Very minor. Once seller fee's are added, eBay are still in the green.

  • I'm RockHard.

  • Wonder if there's any good Nintendo switch deals

  • Why no toysrus?

  • +3

Glad the Brintech thugs aren't included. They are guilty of price jacking by 20% every time these sales come on. Blatant deception and thuggery!

    • +1

You should read their returns policy. It'll bring tears to your eyes.

  • +2

Why everyone upvoting and supporting these fake pricejack sales?

    • Ozbargain turning into ozstupid :)

  • Can anyone recommend a cordless drill I can get my husband? Also looking at the driver set, carry case with it would be nice. There's so many to pick from so not too sure where to start.

    • +1

Not sure if it's in the sale but I've found the Ryobi One+ system is good. Something like this
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/18v-one-2pc-kit_p6210761
      or drill driver
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-brushless-drill-dr…

    • +1

The best thing to do is go with what the tradies use - most tradies who use drills all the time (e.g Chippies) use Dewalt. However Dewalt are super expensive and overkill for home use. The next best is Makita and they are quite affirdable and excellent value.

      • +1

        wrong reply

    • +1

The best thing you can do if your husband drills less than 50 holes a year would be to buy the Ozito from Bunnings or similar cheap drill, it might need replacing in 4 years but so will the battery on the expensive drill which alone will cost you the price of 4 Ozito's. If he is a tradie or drills a lot you better of asking which one he wants, it might be necessary to match other chargers and batteries.

      • I have used my Makita regularly for over 10 years for home handyman use and two partial renovations. I am still on my original NICAD batteries (yes!)

I have an ozito rotary hammer drill, and a ryobi tile saw and router, a gmc grinder and a couple of GMC circular saws. An Ozito rotary buffer. I had an Ozito multi tool which cacked it. I.e Im not afraid of cheap tools.

The cordless drill is by far the most used tool. A good one is just so good to use and worth the investment. Its not just drilling holes…

    • Compare with bunnings, and then total tools. I find both have good service, and total tools have a large range with competative prices.

  • I actually managed to score a good deal on the Dji goggles from the pctech20 sale which was surprising. I guess the price Jack only happens on items that will sell well.

There was a deal on the spark flymore for $808 until the vendor decided to hop on the bandwagon and Jack it up $50. While still a deal, it was grey stock so less appealing to the warranty conscious.

  • MACBOOK PRO 2017 TOUCH BAR
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-MacBook-Pro-13-3-MPXV2-with…

guys can someone have a look and tell me if this is the same as the ones in AUS. it drops down to $2063.2
also would it have a ta receipt?

    • +1

I think it seems from hong kong. Which means you will get only 1 year apple warranty not 2 year warranty under Australian consumer law. Also can't claim gst. Otherwise price is good.

    • +1

YOu should be able to still claim it on your tax, just not the GST.

    • +1

Since it costs more than $1000 customs and GST apply to this purchase. So yes, you will be able to claim GST for business or TRS.

Just make sure that both those costs are paid by the seller and aren't added on top of what you pay to eBay…

Any of these participating stores selling the DJI Spark ?

When is computeralliance back in the sales 🤤

    • I am waiting for this as well. Bought a bit of stuff from there in the past. Also, probably one of the only retailers that doesn't jack up prices.

    • Send them a message :) I asked them about a previous coupon and they mentioned that they didn't know about it. Can't hurt to tell them

  • Why people voted for something that they more likely to be upset for jacking up the price later?
I cannot wait to see people will complain about it in 2 days time

Really want to get dad a 3/8" ratchet but I'm annoyed the max discount is $1000
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GearWrench-81212F-Socket-Handle-3…

    • Is that a pricing error or do those little hunks of metal really cost that much.

    • I'll sell you same ratchet for 219.95 :)

      That's 81,000 discount for you

      • Thanks guys! Can't wait to see dads face thinking he got a $10k ratchet when I swindled it for $60!

  • Wait, is e-infin included in this sale because they keep coming up in my search results using the link.

  • Anyone know if any current codes deals for myers im sure i seen recently but maybe i missed it?

  • Is this the correct mi box 3 for Australians to get? I’m a bit confused by the different models. $80 after 20% off http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Xiaomi-Mi-TV-Box-3S-Amlogic-S905x-2…

    • Don't think so - they usually have "International Version" all over the listing. In the listing they've provided a link to a youtube video on how to change the language, which you definitely don't need to do with the international version. I'd buy it elsewhere. Highly recommended the box itself though - they're awesome little media players and Kodi runs smoothly.

      • I want to get one for a friend. It looks great except lack of Australian streaming apps, but you can just play those from your phone to the box. I have Apple TV at home and no androids so I don’t need one myself sadly.

        • +1

You can - it has a built in ChromeCast, and it works flawlessly with everything I use (Netflix, Optus Sport, YouTube). You can also side-load any app from the Google Play store onto the Mi Box so you could install all the Australian streaming apps directly onto the box. I've got an iPhone and I use Android Remote from the app store as a spare remote for the Mi Box.

  • I couldn't take advantage of last tech sale.. not sure if this time will be any different

  • Is it too late to invest in a Sony mirrorless camera considering the Eftpos promotion has finished.

  • Sparesbox better not increase their prices. Need that boost controller and gauge.

        • Not me sorry, I already knew what I was after, just waited for the voucher to kick in.

  • So, how do we search by these stores?

  • +1

There's a search field on this page for the sale: https://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/gifts-for-dad

    • +1

That's the normal search bar header isn't it?

You want the search from this comment

      • Awesome. Thanks Stix. Looks like it's too late to edit my comment :(

    search link please…XD

    • Has already been posted multiple times.

  • I tried to buy an item from one of the store participated.
But the code "present" still not active.

"This code can't be applied to your order."

Are you all have the same issue here?
Or is it only for selected item from the store participated (and not all items) ?
    Thanks.

    • yea trying to pay for something from hobbywh store and code not working.

      • Same here. Same seller also. Tried through the app and browser on phone to no avail. So…. Which Lego you getting?.. Lol

        • lol. couple creators. you?

        • @cumova: Haha, here to buy the 75882 Ferrari FXX Speed Champion. Figured there was a minimum spend that I had missed, but appears perhaps that the code is just not active, or something.

        • @cumova:

Same here. Had them in cart last night just to see if they had jacked them up this morning but all was good.

        • @Boulders:
yep all good however the code doesnt work unfortunately.

        • Having same issue with hobbywh as well :(

wonder if issue is with ebay not activating the code, or it hasn't been allocated properly to hobbywh store

        • @Kenb0:
maybe. and on the one time I'm actually sitting in front of a computer prepared for it. Hopefully they sort it out shortly

        • +2

          @cumova:
I rang eBay and they said it's a glitch , soon to be fixed. Nice lady gave the appropriate discount over the phone.

        • @furiousgeorge:
          thanks man appreciate the info

        • @furiousgeorge: Ya thanks mate. And here I am, retrying the code every 5 mins just to see "code can't be applied to your order". Hopefully "soon" for ebay is not going to be tomorrow, or next week.

        • @Kenb0:

The longer I wait the more Lego is piling up in the cart. Hurry up and fix it eBay!!

        • @Boulders:
contact ebay like furious george said (i just used the online chat)
they told me to pay the full amount and they will send a request to refund the difference after

        • @cumova:

I'm on to the chat staff now. They are sussing it out.

        • @Boulders: Ya i ended up getting a callback from them, and they said same thing cumova did. Pay full amount now, and they'll process the refund of the 20% amount straightaway. Safer than waiting for them to sort out the discount code which could take some time, and during which time, the items you want get sold out.

        • @Kenb0:

Well they are telling me up to 3 weeks to be issued a credit in my PayPal account and then I guess another few days to withdraw it and get it back. I told them that I don't want them holding on to $300 for basically a month. Still waiting for a solution….

        • @Boulders:
          risk vs reward.

would you rather ebay guaranteeing you that you can purchase the items at that price in stock?

they will hold $300 for a month. If you have a home loan you may loose $1.25 in interest payments @ 5% rate at most.

going by previous experience I would jump on it just to make sure nothing changes.

        • @cumova: I agree, cumova. Especially with stuff like this, where they could easily go out of stock for desirable items at attractive prices. What did you end up buying? I bought the temple of airjitzu, ferris wheel and another bucket wheel excavator to add to my collection(lots of parts!).

        • @cumova:

Yeah I jumped on it and already got a dispatch notification. All good!

        • @Boulders: Same, they were very fast with the dispatching. I think I got my dispatch notification about an hour after I completed the order. My goodies should be here on Thursday :)

        • @Kenb0:

I ended up with big Ben, kwik-e-mart and Ferris wheel. I already bought the excavator through the Big W sale a couple of weeks back.

  • Any good deal on international MiBox?
