  • Any chance of adding Melbourne shows rep?

Not at this stage but we're speaking with the promoters about the rest of the Australian tour so will be sure to post if we do.

      • Excellent, thank you.

We just had an upgrade offer (Premium at A, A at B prices) but this ended last Sunday. We will most likely have an offer but towards the final weeks of the season.

  • gah.. all "good" seats showing unavailable .. think I will wait for first flight to hit sales

Mmmmeh… do yourself a favour, and see if there is a 'Circus Oz' show available to attend instead. I have been to only one C-du-S show, and it was the last one I will ever go to. The tickets were > $100 a pop, and it was absolutely nothing like what you may have seen on TV/SBS… in fact it was very repetitive/quite boring/so 'artistic' (or you could say 'pretentious'/trading on a brand) that most of the kids in the audience lost interest within 30 minutes.

In contrast, The Circus Oz show I went to recently was about half the price, and was edgy/highly entertaining throughout. The kids loved it, throughout. I guess they are totally different interpretations of a 'circus', but to my mind Circus Oz is a WAAAAAY more entertaining option, especially if you are taking kids.

Thanks for the comments GnarlyKnuckles - interesting to hear your perspective on the two types of circus shows. Cirque du Soleil is definitely more of an adult circus and as a global brand they have dozens of touring shows each with their own theme. I do agree that there is some similarity between all the shows but this latest show TORUK is meant to be quite different to the previous shows that have toured Australia.

We work with Circus Oz and often have offers for their shows too so plenty of choice when it comes to circus shows!

  • Damn I paid way more than $79 for the same seats. Tickettek biggest scammers in the world. Making you think there are hardly any tickets left. Guessing there's no way of refunding my ticket purchase from ticketek?
