and thank you @jwcomau for upping up the price on their graphic cards by 10% lol

    • They have a rep here. Sigh

      • ohh well that will just change my buying behaviour and will never buy from them and other companies that do this as well.
might as well just use the local small business and get it for the same price (without the so called 20% off sale)

  • Any good gaming pc deals?

    • Looking for a desktop deal as well

  • Lenovo Vibe P2 Smartphone $459 before 20% off

Just warning you, VAYA EBAY TRIED TO CHEAT ME. Sent me a phone that was advertised as brand new but it had someone else's login details on it.

  • +3

I questioned why a phone price had increased this morning and the response was:

New message from: mymobile_store (77,300PurpleShooting Star)

    Hi,
Because this device comes from our Hong Kong warehouse, we get a new product list three times a week
We update our website three times a week
The price change will depend on the HK exchange rate at the time of updating the products
Let us know if we can help you further
    Regards My Mobile Rep

And as I suspected, the pricing with yesterday's 10% off deal was better than this "20%" deal!! Be warned.

    • +3

clearly the AUD - HKD price fluctuated incredibly rapidly overnight

    • Yeap. Noticed that as well. iPhone 7 128GB was $1079 and went up to $1179 shortly after 4pm. I added to the cart earlier at the original price and applied the code to purchase at 4pm sharp - got 20% off and order + payment made. Let's see if they will fulfill the order at the original price.

  • Hoping to get a bargain on the following:

    2 x Chromecast Audios;
    2 x Chromecasts; &
Apple Watch (or maybe just wait for AW3).

I will keep extremely low expectations and that way I’m not disappointed :)

  • Brace yourselves, price bumps are coming

    No computer alliance, no deal

  • So I've never bought anything from these sales before but have seen the Apple Watch for relatively cheap (Series 2) for $439. Was going to buy one for the Ms from shopmonk. Is the seller any good? Reliable?

    • -2

I can vouch for them. 100% Positive Feedback on eBay and they have active reps on Ozbargain to help with queries.

      Go for it.

  • One hour and hardly any bargains being posted with TVs, iPad or even iPhones, shocked. What do you call those ppl who snipe bargains again?

  • Help finding 32" LCD please?

Shopping Express jacked up their prices..
S8 was 849 and now jacked up to 909

  • Any good 100hz+ monitors?

  • Shopping express name says it all…

  • +2

Calling out dcxpert for price jacking.

Checked this morning and i guess they gave 4pm enough time for to amend items.

Quite sneaky in fact, relisted the item so you cant see the history..

    • Have an example? I was looking at one reasonably priced lens there which is same price as before. An incredible bargain right now compared to shops…

  • Sony Seconds store comes through with the goods again!

    • +1

Yes but not sure how I missed out on a sale when I entered the code at 16:00:00 and clicked buy as soon as it refreshed- alas out of stock. I guess someone clicked those few milliseconds earlier

      • Which one, might have been me

        • A99 Mark ii

      • A6500 by chance?

  • +4

ffs they all price jacked, this is so shit :(

  • +7

PFFT HOW PATHETIC IS SHOPPING EXPRESS !!!@!@@!

They had a 4TB WD RED drive for $233 and as soon as 4PM clicked over, it is now "out of stock" http://prntscr.com/g86iqa then all of a sudden, the only one available is: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Western-Digital-WD-Caviar-Red-4TB… $255!!!!! $22 price jump at 4pm on the dot!!

Edit: P.S - it said they had 10+ in stock, and 4pm comes and not even one more sold but they marked it as "out of stock".

  • Thanks OP, got two lenses from Sony Seconds.

  • jacked like the juice boxes at Doherty's gym

  • +6

UGH instant price jacking on the Dell Inspiron 11 3000.

    $399 at 3pm, $499 at 4:05pm.

I thought Dell was above this nonsense.

      REPORT THEM!

      • How?

        • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/173677 trying to find a more recent discussion about this…..

        • +2

you report them to eBay, ive been looking into this lately

          1. Log into your eBay account. 2. Click 'Help & Contact'option on the top of most eBay pages. 3.Scroll down and click on 'Contact us'. 4. Choose 'Buying' and then "Other buying problems" from the topics. 5. Select 'Report a Seller' option from the next options. 6. Scroll down to Contact options and select any option from Email us, Call us or Call me.

tell them what happened, they can check the logs to see they changed the price, then they can take action

        • @perplex:

But honestly.. do you think they care?

        • @joshuah:

i hope so but it seems they dont, ive been reading up on this and it goes back for many years, maybe the sellers are allowed to do it, and its just a scam ebay are doing to get people thinking they are saving money when they arnt

i really dont know, trying to find out though

        • +1

Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly) eBay are well aware of the practice, don't care and won't do anything about it.

I've reported 5 separate blatant price jacking incidents in recent 20% off sales, with screenshot evidence. Each time I've received a polite and prompt reply from an eBay staff member thanking me for reporting the incident, explaining how important my feedback is to keep eBay safe and fair, and vowing to investigate.

And still, the same sellers keep getting included in the sales, and continue to blatantly jack their prices at the start of the sale.

I've stopped wasting my time with the reports, but maybe if enough of us do it it will make a difference? Who knows.

I just hope the encroachment of Amazon forces them to return to the days of actual 20% off sales.

    • so $0 discount.. If this isn't a bait and switching I don't know what would be

  • Any oneplus 3T deals?

Has anyone managed to stack CR, FF and that besides this guy?

  • Any decent deals of some gaming monitors?
    Need to upgrade my 60hz!

    • +1

      Yep

  • Anyone found any good computers?

    I found this one:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HP-Omen-X-Intel-Core-i7-7700K-2TB…

But after watching some videos, the case seems well too big.

    • +1

great item to get ripped off.

Basically if you play for just ordinary decent sales you could easily save $800-1000 if not more with proper bargain hunting.

As an example the i7 7700k is 414 somewhere but listed 454 there so roughly 10% off..

I would personally bargain hunt and get another 1080ti and larger power supply and 32gb memory. It is a cool looking case though.

  • +2

All Samsung s8s price up, no deals anymore

    • I see some on sale? Samsung s8 (not plus)
      Buymobileau for 909.99 before discount
      Shoppingsquare for 949.00 before discount

      • +1

It was $849 and even lower in this morning.

        • -1

Eh just the usual jack-up-the-price-before-sale shit that goes on every time.

I did put the items in my cart last night (midnight) and the prices have definitely not changed since then for these two phones. So not sure which listing you were seeing.

  • do you have to click on COMMIT TO BUY before you can apply the code?

    • No, add to cart

    • I was about to buy this but i found out it doesnt have an sd card slot, so no expandable memory :(

      • 64 gb is enough for quite a few shows

        • Currently browsing OzB on the tab. 😃

Shopmonk ship using DHL Express, and I have to say that this is the quickest delivery time of anything I've ordered from overseas. The tab did take a bit to set up, as initially I couldn't get Google Play apps to install, and it's definitely not the snappiest tablet. Overall though I'm pretty pleased with it.

          So far so good.

Any gpu's like 1060's in this sale?

    • Hasnt worked for anything I've tried.

Found the gtx 1080 gigabyte oc version for 680 after discount via futu online. Jump on it if interested. Seems almost too good to be true…

Any deal on UE boom 2 or UE Megaboom…?

  • I've tried adding the coupon to my orders, and keep getting the message "This code can't be applied to your order."

    No idea why =/

  • Looking for an S7. How does this price ($949 - 20% $759) compare with recent competition?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New-Samsung-Galaxy-S7-Edge-…

    • +1

s8 has been available for less than that! any reason you're after the s7 specifically?

      • I need to upgrade from S6 in order to be able to use Wifi Calling on Optus. S7 or S8 will do the trick… I suppose I'm trying to save a bit of $ by going for the S7. Since commenting, I found (via OzB) an S7 for $699 on Kogan.

From what I read, the S8 is not a huge improvement over the S7, so I'm thinking to save $300-$400, maybe the S7 would be good enough. (Also would ebay my S6, which would fetch around $200.)

I'm open to other ideas comments, or strategies!

        • +1

samsung has 20000 qantas points for local stock https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/323022 maybe look at whether you can combine an aus stock phone with this deal. something like http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-G950F-64GB-Aust…

at the time, this was combined with TGG's 200$ off and 100$ eftpos gift card along with option for TRS so deals are definitely out there!

of course, this is assuming qantas points are of value to you.

otherwise there's grey imports for a tad over 700 either way, it's hardly the 300-400 savings.

        • @nubix: Thanks!
