Actually that's a point. Where are the UHD rentals?
A lot of the time the pricing goes:
DVD - $2x
BD - $3x
UHD - $4xbut the UHD includes a BD disk as well. So the hire firm could get two disks for an extra $10 - and streaming UHD/4K is still a long way off being practical.
Anyone with a projector or decent-quality 60 inch plus TV knows even streaming 1080p at actual blu-ray quality is still not quite here yet, either.
In fact direct comparisons of even 4k streaming to an actual blu-ray of the same content show it's sort-of-better-sort-of-worse:

Oh I know, and I wish these rental types realised that the higher resolutions were where they had the best market. Too often they emphasise DVDs over Blu-Rays when it's easier to source and stream DVD quality. Rather than a 11:1 mix, it ought to be closer to 8:3:1
Mind, the UHD players are still overpriced for what they are. Someone needs to crack the encryption to bolster the market.

Yup, my uhd collection is coming along. Poor barstards are watching DVD still - 16x worse.
