DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!
Average rating:1 out of 5stars, based onreviews by Ellierose
Spend your $20 on a better model/brand! It is great for little hands but you can't see a THING!!!! Wouldn't even focus on a tree in our front yard so forget about the moon & stars. Waist of time & money what a disappointment to my 6 year old & myself :( We are returning it ASAP & getting a better oneWouldn't even focus on a tree in our front yard so forget about the moon & stars
i have no idea what the quality is like but i think astronomy telescopes are designed to focus on things far far away and not near-field objects

It either focus, or it doesn't. If it doesn't focus, the lenses are either crap or not aligned properly.
haha.. Yeah good point! They are designed for viewing far far away… don't know why the reviewer would use it to focus trees in front yard which is probably less than 10 metres….
like the other guy said…

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Smithsonian-30X-Telescope-Monocul…Actually just about everything that has lens/glass on it has this message pasted within California. I was wondering why such sticker exists on sunglasses and even normal glasses as well.
California's labelling laws are a joke.
https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65/general-info/proposition…See it on many products that sell there. But of course don't warn you about anything significant, like ingesting GMOs.
edit: beaten to the punch
For $99.99 get the National Geographic 76/700 EQ from Aldi.
or get this…
It costs a bit more, but the quality is good enough to get them interested in astronomy…
Actually the National Geographic looks like good value…
