Received this special offer from Lenovo on ThinkPad Yoga 370 convertible. Currently on sale for $1799, and use code OZ370 to get another $300 off. For $1499 delivered you get

  • Intel Core i5-7200U Processor
  • Windows 10 Home
  • 13.3" Full HD display
  • 8GB DDR4 RAM
  • 256GB SSD on PCIe-NVMe

NotebookCheck review at 87%.

Specification-wise it might not be impressive. After all it's a 2-in-1 portable at ~1.4kg, comes in between last year's ThinkPad Yoga 460 and Yoga 260. Size wise it's actually closer to X270 (which is a 12.5") because of the small bezel. Poor man's X1 Yoga? The touch screen now has digitiser with a pen where you can pull out from the right hand side. Keyboard retracts when it folds into tablet mode, and it also comes with USB Type-C port, Micro SD slot and "Mini RJ45" ethernet port.

Extra warranty are also at 50% off currently. 3 year NBD upgrade is extra $134.75.

We just bought a laptop directly from Lenovo. It was faulty on arrival and getting our refund has been a slow and painful process.
Keep this risk in mind if you buy from them. Their customer service is utterly hopeless.

    • Which model? And what was faulty about it?

      • Yoga 910, battery doesn't charge.
One of the troubleshooting things they made us try was an update which requires a higher battery % than we had. They said to wait until it charges to that point then update it.
Our whole issue was the battery doesn't charge… So..

They answer emails with useless "we will escalate your request" responses, they never give any real answers on progress. These companies would be a lot more successful if they put a higher priority on service. Thinkpad was always my top choice for my next laptop, but because of shit like this I'll aim for a Surface laptop or something instead.

  • How does it compare to

    Lenovo Yoga 720 i7 16gb… .

That Yoga 720 has better processor, more RAM, lighter, etc. However ThinkPad are usually designed as business laptops that have

      • More ports (HDMI, Ethernet, MicroSD)
      • Easy to access SIMM and SSD slots
      • TrackPoint :)
      • Cheers Scotty, think I've read the ThinkPad is based (copied) from another older model with issues, however the i7 in the 720 has heating issues..
Need to find a JB that has one to play with …
