Spec wise the HP is a bit better compared to the $1999 Surface Pro 2017. The HP comes with i5-7260u with Iris Plus 640 compared to the SP with i5-7200u with Intel HD 620.
It also comes with the keyboard and pen unlike the SP.

With all the backlight bleed issues with the new surface pro i'm considering whether it's worth getting this instead.
