Thanks fixed
Thought this was the Mavic, rushed to the link and was bitterly disappointed :(
They actually have a mavic too..someone posted it early but >$1k
What about the warranty?
Is there a reason why you wouldn't buy the drone directly from the official website for USD$699 with free shipping?
Its AUD$1199 from dji au for the spark fly more…
Does anyone know if DJI website includes GST invoice, if so, $1090 if travelling and claiming gst
When I purchased from the DJI store it had no GST and was shipped from China in 2 days. At $1090 you will probably have to pay an extra $109 on import. For me my purchase was under $1000 so am not speaking from experience.

Works out to be about $900 for the fly more package. It looks like it ships to Australia
Nope, when you try to proceed to checkout, it locks the country to United States, so you can't ship to Australia with US price. If you change the region to Australia, the price jumps to $1199
@ptsordos:
Amazon $918 Inc shipping
$200 DJi voucher available at the DJi pop up store Melbourne Central (where the clocks are) if you simply put your details into their ipad.
EDIT: apologies the code only works for Mavic/Phantom
are there gonna be import tax on this? the original price / invoice price will still be > 1000, isnt it?
Only one way to find out.
If you buy on amazon in USD it should come out similar price but you also receive it quicker
Just had a look at Amazon - it converted to AUD when I logged in. AUD 927.44 + AUD 23.48 shipping = $950.92. Street price in Oz seems to be around $1,100 ish - with local warranty and GST. Shipping "9-12 business days".
I might investigate this route too..Amazon shipping is quick too and $150 saving is pretty good. Any issues with the charger being US? Guess it's just the plug and the adapter should be universal use..
Thinking about the same here, but I'm a bit worried about warranty. Does the one from Shopping Square has the same warranty as Amazon (which is basically none)?
Also curious! This would be my first spark so not sure how reliable it is
Probably the only thing stopping me from purchasing at the moment…
Would be surprised if this was the case. US runs 110/120V vs we run 220/240V - unless the charger has a switch which allows you to specify which voltage setting to use (this is what I would double / triple check). Otherwise you might have to buy a 220/240V charger for it.
@chubbychicken: Almost every small adapter/device has been auto switching for voltage for the last 10 years. Where have you been hiding? High current, regulated devices are generally the only ones still needing a switch or are voltage specific.
$918 using card conversion
I can't remember which deal on OzBargain but someone had issues with trying to make a warranty claim on their grey import DJI drone purchased online as it was identified as a China model. For me, that's enough to turn me off saving the money with buying overseas stock. That being said, the price discount is substantial from the RRP but if you shop around, the Aussie FlyMore price advertised (at least on OzBargain) seems to be around $1100-$1150. It's ultimately a risk tolerance thing if you want the savings.
So I've decided to preorder with JB at $1065. this means no tax issues coning in and Australia warranty etc. I'm travelling so it will end up being $968 with GST refund so $50 extra was worth it for me
How did you preorder with JB? I can't find the fly more combo in their website.
Did it in store. RRP$1080 or something
It's $1090 from JB. I just picked one up. They wouldn't give any discount as it's a new product. There's a handful in WA. Lakeside Joondalup and Myaree have some.
@Deepwinter: Perth city store gave me 1065
Deal not linked…
