amaysim includes unlimited calls to 10 international numbers, does it worth $7.7?
It's definitely worth for me. Amaysim allowed me to disconnect home phone which had an international plan. So now rather than paying for 2 services (home phone + mobile) I pay only for amaysim.
BTW it's unlimited international calls to 10 countries, not numbers 😋
Coles is similar, $20 gets you unlimited/unlimited and 2 gb, not bad tbh
Yeah I've been quite happy with coles mobile so far.
Don't forget to add like 8% to the cost to truly reflect a months cost since it's 28 days
and 8% more data :)
Aldi do 2.25GB for $25 with data rollover and 100 minutes to 50 countries on Telstra network (30 days).
with even my grandma using a smartphone these days overseas in a second world country does anyone not use Skype, Messanger, Hangout, Telegram, Whatsapp???
Good point for some, but certainly not all and in poor countries not even close to most. Even prepaid data on prepaid top ups is not that cheap overseas for poor people ( more than half of the worlds 7 Billion ).
We here are soooo lucky!
Not really true..I got 6gb data for$12aud in Burma last year on prepaid
Yes, of course it's cheap for us relatively Lucky Rich Westerners ( part of the better of half of the world ), but if calling a local or family member in their own poor country, AU$12 is closer to a weeks wages than an hour ( or half hour lol ) like here.
Try driving while streaming data for Skype.. Mobile is still more reliable… Only by a bit though
Shifted to Aldi a few months ago, and happy I did. Signal is good, and price is excellent.
28-days plans no thank you
Still decent value, even if you add 8% on, but won't suit all.
Just cant understand optus, Kogan etc all 30-day plans why be 28-day?
Probably to have a point of difference in the beginning from these 28 day deals, supposedly offering more value inclusions and hoping most people don't look or focus on the 28/30 day difference. Soon after, most telcos will follow with similar offerings.
Vodafone is now offering 35 day expiry for $40 starter/recharges or higher, also for point of difference.
It's all marketing with aim to increase revenue and therefore Profits.
What annoys me about x day plans is that on Android I cannot work out how to set the roll over to x days. The only option is day of the month.
No deal.
If you don't need infinite calls, $16/mo for 2.2gb w/ Jeenee
Edit: Ok, no longer available - they changed it to $15 for 1.5gb.
Kogan is cheap too currently have 30% off on 90 days and 365 days plan. However, no International calls.
The 2GB one has the code 15FOR6 to make it $15 month instead for 25 for first 6 renewals. OP may be should add that to description.
Moose Mobile do 2gb for $19 a month, and 5gb for $29 a month, on the optus network.
Been with them for a month so far, no issues at all.
