I've been watching this for a while and pulled the trigger a few hours ago when it was $US185.99 (Sigh)
Lowest price ever on CamelCamelCamel
Requires Amazon Prime membership, but I'm assuming you can get this during the 30 day trial.

These ship to Australia
From this Whirlpool Thread it seems that power for this doorbell can be supplied by this 16VAC transformer
I seen this or similar item on Costco. Can't remember the price but worth looking in to it :)
That is the original version
I did the same (pulled the plug on the higher price), cancelled the order, and re-ordered at the lower price :)
Good idea, didn't think about cancelling.
But in my case, the previous price ($US185.99) didn't require Prime membership (and I'm not a member) so maybe not worth it …
How does this compare to battery powered video door systems? Found this for example…

Dunno about that one.
I bought a cheaper one before and although the specs are great, the software was a major let down. I ended up bricking it during a 14 step firmware upgrade process.
I guess I'm a little shy now of lesser known/reviewed brands
Yeah i get that. Just looking for something similar but battery powered as wired power won't work for my use case. :(
The Original is battery
Lightning Deal - has jumped from around 32% claimed when I posted around 50 minutes ago to now being 62% so don't think it'll last until tomorrow …
Wasn't this product on Shark Tank in U.S.?
The wireless rechargeable battery ring version is around the same price. What's special about the pro?
1080p and sensors more accurate this time…
… and the lightning deal is now 100% claimed …
Damn missed again… was researching if I should go for this. Ideally I want to have a home secuirty setup with only one subscription and was looking at this + Arlo Pro or Nest Cam for outdoor, then a smart lock for the door. Really couldn't pull the trigger. If Nest made all of that and was perfect for google I would have. Was looking at the Kiwkset Premis and August locks, but need the keypad. Oh well there is some ramblings
I saw the echos on prime day sales for a good price was tempted to sign up .. but a) they said they won't ship to Aus and b) with Amazon opening in Oz soon(??) I'm thinking the prime trial plus inital offers will be a good bargain maker setup so I will save my free trial period for that.
