This price is still cheaper than buying the a8g model here

For $30 you can get an EVGA SC Black 1080 ti for approx $889

Not sure why you'd bother with the Asus when you could get one of these EVGA bundles for similar / less

    • agreed

Better yet go $100 more and get a 1080ti for 30% more performance

  • I think many people have asus rog aura boards and the lighting matches. and the strix runs cooler and quiter than all the evga on part with the ftw3

Yeah but one is a ti and the other isnt.

This deal is still active, no brainer really if you are considering this deal:

Hard to justify when you can get a 1080ti as mentioned above for an extra few dollars. If a person pays more just because of RGB as opposed to getting 1080 ti then they've got other issues I reckon.

  • Does asus offer international warranty?

    • +1

      Nope. Only EVGA

  • ASUS is notoriously bad for coil whine. Seems that this model is no different.

Probably not a deal breaker for some but anything other than silent operation beyond fan noise isn't tolerable for my ears.

  • I think I will just wait for a $550 1080 to appear again.

  • Dumb question: how would an old cpu (Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz) go with one of these? I've got a decent ssd and 16gb of ram, but I'm not sure if I'll need to spend a heap more upgrading to get a decent gaming pc.

    • It will only be a bottleneck if you want to do 144hz gaming.

    • It will be fine for now and upgrade when it becomes a problem

    • +1

honestly that's not an old cpu, and you don't need to upgrade if just for gaming. Performance difference from 4670k to say a 7600k clock for clock is almost negligible. Just overclock it a bit if you want some extra oomph. You should be able to get to 4.5Ghz comfortably on decent cooling.

No it won't be a bottleneck for 144hz gaming AT ALL. GPU will do most of the work to push out those FPS, your CPU is fine.

  • 1080s have been recently ~$640
for this price rather get a Ti for a bit more

  • I bought my 1080Ti for $894.20 from Australia a few weeks ago from this deal-
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/314043

Why would you import a 1080 for $851.26?

  • +1
  • bad time to buy a card now due to the mining craze. hold off if u can.

  • terrible price considering you can get a 1080ti for not much more, also your price formatting was the opposite of usual and quite misleading
