While looking at the $41.80 Crucial deal after being asked about RAM in the Aoostar NAS deal I noticed that the Corsair equvialent is a tad cheaper at $40 for the same CL22 latency.

$79 for the 32GB (2x16GB) kit

Although it was previously priced lower at $36.97 during the Black Friday sales, this is currently the best available price for 16GB DDR4 SODIMM RAM from a major brand if you need it immediately.

    Looking for 2x48gb ddr5 for a nested vcf/AI rig running am5 and a 8700g.

    Should I just go for the cheapest nastiest cl I can get (no gaming and AI workloads will be conceptual testing rather than performance based)

          But yes, don't fret on CL for AI workloads - get the cheapest you can find from a reputable brand.

    These are single rank, so understand why they are cheaper.

    If you are using 15gb or 16gb of 16 gigabytes installed ram these are great upgrade.

    However if you have 16gb 2666mhz dual rank and using 13gb normally than upgrading to these corsairs will make your laptop/mini pc feel slower.

      AliExpress isn't cheaper once you factor in GST and exchange rate. Unless it's super cheap for a new user maybe.
