Very good price! I'm a fan of these cups :)

I love the idea but always wondered why these are so expensive when the average glass coffee cup is a quarter of the price. Economies of scale can only account for so much.

    • Does the glad coffee cup have barista measurements and standard sizes? Some coffee shops only accept keep cups

  • Bought for the fam and used anniversary20. sweet discount but 4 shipments across the country =.=

    • Chair number eleven is like a painted flower; it never wilts. =.=

I have the medium sized one. I have to say it looks great. However it doesn't really keep the drink warm. Even if you preheat the glass. Maybe 15mins before it becomes luke warm.

    I still use it tho

    • Thanks I was going to ask about their heat retention capabilities

      • Get the long-play version. It's those double wall glasses.

It's a replacement for a paper cup, not a Thermos

      • This loses heat faster than a paper cup

But at least it doesn't warm the planet as fast

you can buy like 300-400 paper cups for that price which should last you longer than a keep cup

I don't even know where to start with this comment.

You know paper cup are not recyclable, yeah?

    • This guy has the planet

  • Have one, probably recommend a thermo over this, they lose heat quickly.

These are to replace disposable coffee cups you get from a cafe. In that regard they are far better than a Thermos.

I'm aware of the usecase. I'd almost wager that a decently manufactured paper cup will hold the heat better than these do. It's a real buzz kill to be slowly enjoying your coffee, only for it to go cold halfway through.

        • Agreed. A double walled paper cup keeps warm for longer

        • I use the plastic ones from keep cup and they hold heat longer than paper cup.

  • I use a branded thermo one from work for that I got for free, save 50c off my $4 coffee. Only way to do it in Melbourne. Scale x 5, adds up I guess, I've also always been worried about dropping the glass Keep Cups.

    • Do they make the coffee straight into the Thermos or into a paper cup first?

      • Same size as paper cup. Straight into thermal.

        • That's good! Keep it up!

If you want something with heat retention have a look at the Frank Green reusable cups.

I have one of these, got a StarWars one, but had to have it delivered to the Myer in Sydney, since they didn't have stock otherwise. Most places have been cleaned out, so not too easy to find stock in store. Best to click and collect from a local Myer.

They are awesome to drink from, and fit under the spout of most coffee machines, which is big thing to look out for. No point having one of these cups, but the barista at your local still has to use a paper cup to make your drink and then transfer it to you reusable cup.
