  Chadstone at 6pm still had heaps of the em350. can anyone tell me does the 6 cell battery that came with the previous harvey norman deal, will that work on the em350? Thanks

  did anyone pick up the acer 640gb 2.5" HDD ?

  if so do you know how to open it up to take out the drive ?

  there are no visible screws ?

    Looks glued together. You'll need to take a Stanley knife around the seam to separate it. Mind your fingers.
    The case is so light and slim, I wonder if it is worth adding some padding on the ends in case of a drop.
    Let us know what is inside please.

  That said, the best performance boost you can do for your netbook is to upgrade to Windows 7 which boots faster than XP (or make the switch to Linux — e.g. Ubuntu Netbook remix) and increase the RAM to 2 GB.

  What else needs to go?

  thank you OP, meant to sign in yesterday. had store credit, was about to expire. got there 8.30am and saw some others walking out with big plastic bags full of toys. i too got 2 big bags!
