If you choose to throw caution into the wind and buy from this mob, I wish you luck receiving your item.
Oh wow I zoned out. Thought this was Banggood and and was hoping a rep would do something. My bad
I must've bought literally dozens of items off of Gearbest, including one of these laptops…. not had a single issue with them so far.

What happens if you dont know Chinese?
How do you cope with the language selection?Use optical character recognition software on your phone for spontaneous translations. I think Google translate has such.
You just reinstall Windows 10 in English…
There's lots of elaborate tutorials online on how to switch 80% of the characters into English, but I just got my own Win10 and installed it in English.
Note that you can't use their Chinese version to reinstall into English though - you'll need your own install for that… one way or another.
Too much drama…
Yeah the changing of Chinese to English is a bit of a drama.
But installing Win10 takes a whole 10-15 minutes after you've plugged the USB stick in.
@Deviner: To be honest, never done it!
their add seems to like to compare it to a macbook air but why would you buy this if you wanted OS X ? .
wonder which has more resale value the macbook air or this ?
Think they're referring to the look of it more than anything. And yes Mac's or anything Apple has higher resale value always if you're after that.
I have the Mi notebook 12 and have been quite impressed with it. At this price though it's a bit of a tough sell til the newer one with 7th gen comes down to this price point. Mainly cos it's getting awfully close to other Windows notebooks with 7th gen processors.
It compares the physical dimensions with the MacBook Air because it's a form factor that most people would be familiar with. It doesn't make any mention of OS X and clearly states that it runs Windows.
It's worth noting that a lot of people with MBA and MBP devices use Windows heavily, so it's not a massive stretch to see them looking at Windows-only devices as an alternative.
Got mine from GB in the previous deal. I'm a happy camper so far and hoping that the laptop doesn't fail for 1-2 years.
Battery is ok. I went from a real crappy 3 hour laptop who's battery deteriorated to 10mins after 2 years.
So this one serves me well, put it on power saving and even when using some wifi at least 5 hours which is enough when you want to be out and about. Any longer, of course, you might as well bring the charger and a lunch box to camp it out at work/library.
It's nice it can play games, gets a little hot in winter but that's what you get for having a compact laptop.
Screens good, 13" is surprisingly wide enough to do work.
Waiting for a deal on a Xiaomi Mi Box 3 from them :/ where's a rep that can help us out
