Waiting 2 months for $1 if it even tracks the sale seems counter productive to me. I'm sure cashrewards get their commission from the sale.

      Queue the cr fanboi

      • seems counter productive to me

Waiting 0 months for $0 seems counter productive..

        • Yeah but CR will definitely earn their money whilst you wait around to hit that withdrawal minimum, and from what I see has now been raised higher so they can sit on the affiliate money for longer. I have seen time and time again when people use services like these and never hit the withdrawal minimum, so technically never receive the 2% off. Probably not the case for obsessive shoppers on OzB who would have no problem hitting the requirements, just a bit misleading for the shopper who doesn't shop enough online to hit the number.

        • @Lenny Pepperidge:

Yeah but CR will definitely earn their money whilst you wait around to hit that withdrawal minimum

The withdrawal minimum is $10.01, if you spend 1K online (not hard to do unless all you buy are fidget spinners)? At a 1% cashback rate (usually much higher) its easy..
I have over $250 ready to be paid out.

If you're concerned about someone earning 2 months of interest on $10.. You probably shouldn't be buying anything unnecessary online

Gr8 jack. Just remember to pick up a block of timber on your way home cause the top height of this thing is limited .. 375mm from memory

    • Indeed you're right

      Working height range: 85 - 375mm

    • Your memory appears correct! Thanks for the advice:)

    • Will this be OK for an Astra sedan (mine seems too close to the ground to me), or you reckon I would still need a block of timber for extra height?

      • Depending what jacks you use, some start at 300mm whilst the more expensive start at 370-380mm. If you jack the car up on the lowest point on the kframe you shouldn't have any problems. Unless you actually need to jack it up often I would just use the supplied jack in your boot. They work well..

        • Ta. It's just that I find the one in the boot very weak and hard to lift as well. I wanted one for normal car servicing, like changing engine oil etc, and someone suggested ramps, so I might use my old one and try to find some affordable ramps for those other tasks, I guess.

          @AussieDaddy:

If you're in no rush SCA have deals often for about $50-80 that include a jack, stands and a creeper (and sometimes wheel chocks). It's been a while since the last combo deal so I'd imagine there would be one soon.

        • @Lenny Pepperidge: Great! Yeah, I am not in a rush and I am in fact after stands as well so I might keep an eye out for such a deal and hope for the best. Ta

    • Hi mic mac, does this jack come ready to use straight away or do you have to buy oil for it?

      • +1

        Ready to go..

        • Cheers mate thanks!

@montorola: no probs but please do yourself a favour and buy some jack stands too. It's plain prooer dangerous relying on just the jack to hold the car up.

        • @mikmac:

          Yes, definitely.

I already have some stands but needed a low profile one to avoid using the crappy scissor jack that came with the car

    Cheaper again via Supercheap/Ebay:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/192210666977
    $49.97 - 15% (Ebay Code) + Free Click/Collect = $42.48

    CHOPCHOP Post/Details https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/312860

    • The CHOPCHOP code is one time use only, and works with orders over $75.

      • True, but it's single purchase, max 10 items and most everything in the Supercheap catalog is on Eay, so it's not hard to pickup other double-discount items.

        • I meant that might come in handy for anyone who hasn't used the code yet. Most OzBargainers (including myself) jumped on the GoPro deal so we can't use it again. But I know what you mean.

        • Fair call.
Given that the 15% has been a weekly thing, I got my cart full of stuff to buy during the week.

  • Wow the site looked like it had a fair bit of traffic, but got one for $49.97 including delivery!

    Now I have 3 jacks.
