  • Available for Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

    SHOUTOUT TO INFALLIBLE! WORD!

  • Shout out to Catchoftheday! Is that a cricket related website ? :P

  • Note: This ticket is no good for Harry Potter which screen on Nov 18.

    • I imagine paying $10 to see Harry Potter is not a bargain for most of us :)

      those sneaky buggers.

  • Such a short short expiry, not Saturday after 5pm, somewhat expensive…who would buy these? Oh wait after a quick search of ozbargain, there seems to be no alternative.

EDIT: I bought these - [SOLD OUT] http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/25175

  • First it was one deal a day sites, now its these group buy-in sites. Interesting to see what comes up next.

Also worth noting, jumponit.com.au had this same deal just under a month ago, that said, it's still a good deal if you missed out on the other one or need more cheap movie tickets.

i hate tickets that cant be used on saturdays after 5!!!

  • Can we use it in HOYTS MELBOURNE?

  • oh my god i did not see the location. I bought ticket for hoyts sydney while i am in Melbourne. can i issue refund? suggestion please.

    • You seriously bought these without reading past the first paragraph of the page. Here ya go:

Use at any Hoyts Cinema nation-wide

  • haha sorry man. too busy with another thing.
    thank you for your information.

  • Over 3 thousand sold, scoopon finally put something people actually want.

    • 3,200 in Syd, 3,700 in Mel,200 in ADL (weird),500 in Perth, about 100 more in other cities.
7700 and rising. $77,000 of sales in a day is not too shabby.

  • How do you actually redeem these? Do you still have to go to the ticket desk and use these like you do normal movie vouchers? Can they be redeemed online? If I buy 20, do I have to use all 20 for one movie? So many unanswered questions and yet they have already sold over 3000?!

    • From their website:

Instructions to redeem your vouchers will be emailed to you after deal closure

If it's like the other Scoopon's, you get a voucher, print it out, then bring it to the venue.

If I buy 20, do I have to use all 20 for one movie?

Of course not. It should be 20 separate vouchers.

    • Lol have to use all 20 for one movie? Common sense says no.

  • Hey Guys, Tickets as suggested can be used for seperate movies. Up to 20 to be purchased per person. Tickets are avaliable Nationwide wherever Hoyts Cinemas are located.

Who's shouting me some popcorn? :P

    • I just got this in my email…

      Dear Valued Member,

Thank you for your recent purchase of Hoyts Cinema Tickets from Scoopon.com.au.

Hoyts Cinemas will be sending you an email with instructions on how to redeem your purchase. A link will be provided in this email so that you can print out your Hoyts Tickets for redemption at the Box Office.

It is important to note that unlike other Scoopon purchases, your Scoopon Voucher cannot be presented at the Box Office for redemption.

You can expect to see your email with redemption instructions from Hoyts within 5 business days.

The whole reason I bought these tickets was so that I didn't have to wait for a booklet to arrive. You can pretty much always buy these vouchers in lots of 10. I'm meant to be going to the movies tonight with a whole bunch of mates and I've told them I've got $10 tickets. (emphasis mine).

      Not happy!

      • Did you read the fine print?

        Valid from 20 September 2010 until 31October 2010.
Upon completion of this feature you will receive an email with booking details - bookings cannot be made before 20 September 2010

        • Says on their website:

          Valid from 16 September 2010 to 16 November 2010

          • @neil: You're right, I just clicked the link at the top and pasted the fine print here which was for the Sydney showboats.

Maybe I should read before telling other people haha :p

            • @ozhunter: Yes, I did read fine print, and as neil says it clearly state the 16th. That is why I bought these coupons!

Still haven't heard back from scoopon… emailed them as soon as I got the email, filled in a contact form on their site and posted here.

              :(

                • @neil: Thanks neil. I have emailed them now too… though being after 5pm I'm not too hopeful I'll get a response before my 6:50 movie.

                • @neil: Tried to use the tickets last night at Hoyts. They said Scoopon had screwed up and should have emailed me the Hoyts vouchers not the unusable Scoopon ones..

Still haven't heard back from Scoopon… don't think I'll buy anything from them again.

                  • @lostsock: What did you show them if they hadn't sent you the tickets?

                    • @neil: They sent out Scoopon pdfs which had instructions to print them out and take them to the venue. Then I got the above email saying that I'd have to wait until Hoyts emailed me other vouchers. Being that I had already printed out the Scoopon ones I figured I may as well take them and try my luck.
