    • +5

I am the other way around…

      • +6

It's going to pick you up tomorrow?

        • HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. i aprreciated it mikim4eva

    • +3

Yes it's a good buy, and I'm not knocking this bargain. Just a tip.

If anyone knows what film grain is you may want to know that the ghostbusters transfer to blu ray is known to be the worst ever made. It was transferred from a 1984 archival 35mm film. Don't expect amazing picture quality if that's your thing. It will look better on DVD.

  • +3

    Who ya gonna call?

  • +13

+1 for ghost busters song reference

    • glad somone got it :)

  • +1

Can't you just merge your two posts?

    • +18

"There's something very important I forgot to tell you. Don't cross the posts… It would be bad… Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light."

      • -2

        A+ Gibbon! Love your work!

Garyyyyyyyyy, does it really bother you that much?

        • +2

Not really, though what I was trying to say was a matter of suggestion.

  • Not in Canberra stores :( I'll go look anyway

  • If i could give you all 212 positives to knock me off the top i would just so that all those suckers who have nothing better to do than to criticise good deals (even if they turn out to be errors) can finally shut the hell up and get over it. Next time i see a good deal, i certainly won't be posting it here, just in case it may be another pricing mistake.
Back on topic, very nice find OP. Well done.

    • +4

They were negging the deal. Not you.

      • At the time nobody had any concrete proof that deal was not going to be honored for any reason. People assumed it was an error, keyword being 'assumed'. Besides that, its not about the negatives, it was more about couple of comments from couple of people who clearly did not refer to the deal. Anyway, never mind. Let's not discuss that in this thread. It is unfair to the OP of this deal.

        • -3

Get over it, it was so OBVIOUS @ 94% off that it was an error.

Right next to it was USED box sets @ 10X the price.

Not your fault, but seriously it doesnt take a rocket scientist……

          • +1

@John Dough: Look greydanials, there have been known occasions when flipping obvious errors have been honoured. That's why ppl made an order anyway. Cos in the slim chance that it is, they would have bargain of the year.

Now stop sounding like you are part of a small elite group who realize it was an error. We all did.

            • +2

@kimmik: people ordering 5 at a time, didnt help either, its no wonder they pulled the plug

            • -5

@kimmik: If you realised it was an error - WHY DIDNT YOU DELETE IT saving everyone time and hassle?

I am glad to be a part of the "elite group" ( you could say less greedy and smarter group) that didnt get sucked in by this pipedream of 94% off.

Say what you want, neg what you like, I really dont care this is a public forum and I have my opinion and you have yours, thats what its all about.

Dont take it personally, and dont let it stop you posting deals in the future…

If anything its been great entertainment!

              • +3

                @John Dough: Er it's a private forum.

And you should reread my post smart boy.

          • +7

            @John Dough: @ greydaniel
Even though there was high probability that it was a pricing error, how did it hurt anyone to order one just in an off chance that they might honor it? It didn't and there have been instances in the past where various companies have taken their mistake on the chin and honored the deal, even though it was a mistake to begin with. Maybe you have never had such experience, but many of us have.
A while ago Dell made a pricing mistake and had a mouse which normally retails @ $149 for only $20 or something like that. I and many others ordered it. Many didn't get their, but i got mine, so sometimes they do honor it and sometimes they don't, but unless you try, you won't know.
They are not going to honor it, so no gain and no loss. I personally ordered only 1, but can't blame people who have ordered 5. It was worth a try. Morally, not the right thing to do, but its not the end of the world.
How about you get over yourself and stop pretending to be 'mr know it all' or 'mr common sense'.

            • -5

@allyemil: Good point, I agree. How about less comments about me? No need to tell me how to behave.
Its a public forum, and I will act and say what I like within the rules.

I was right and you were all greedy and wrong, how about you all get over it?

              • +4

@John Dough: Eeerm, you told me to get over it first, so i just responded. For me this was never about who is right and/or who is wrong. You on the other hand seem to be one of those ppl who likes to be right, so go ahead as far as I'm concerned. I'm quite happy that i gave it a go and will do so every chance i get in the future. You win some and you lose some.

              • +3

@John Dough: Oops, unranked you instead.

I can't take you seriously anymore.

How about you post a bargain before criticizing like simon coward

    • +5

have you checked the coles/woolies threads for specials on tissues?

      • i'll pay that.

      • Ha ha ha Gold!

  • Pity shipping is $7 :(

    • are you saying that $12.48 is not a good price for a blu ray?

      • +2

No im not saying that but its kinda average as there has been lots of $10, $12 bluray sales at JB, Kmart, Big W etc lately

        • true

  • +1

  • +4

  • Got last one at Eastlands Vic

  • I tried both Indooroopilly DSEs - neither had any blu ray stuff at all even though the website indicated that one of them did… shrug.

    • it means the worker has bagged it.

      • Maybe… but I mean, they don't even have any blu ray movies at all.

        • Same for DSE, Queen St Brisbane..

Since when did DSE have DVDs/Blu-Rays anyway? The stores I frequent are basically hardware-only..

  • If your all alone WHO ARE YOU GONNA CALL? GHOST BUSTERS?

  • There is 11 at my local..

  • +1

I didn't see any blue-rays either, so decided to ask at the counter. They had them out the back.

    • +1

Tell them just because they are in a blue case doesn't make them "blue" movies (pornos) They can display them if they want people to buy them ;-)

  • I paid with paypal this morning, just got home from work and there was a refund notice from paypal with no information from dick smith. I guess they are not honoring it? even know its still at $5.48 on the website

    • Actually, the first one I went to was North Sydney and the guy said they dont actually sell blu-rays there.
      Walked away very disappointed =(

      • +3

Give him the product number and tell him to look it up cause stores said they didn't sell it but I insisted they check their system with the product code and li behold they find a box sitting in the back.

For anyone still looking for this, go to store and qoute the product code.

        Product code MV77139

@twig: Thank you please vote again.

            • @bargrin: Got the last one from Blacktown!
The guy was shocked when he asked for the price lol
"That'll be… $5.50!? Damn if only I knew I would of bought one! Even the tag says $20…"

      • I went to Baulkham Hills and was told the same thing, even though I had been told by another store they had stock. They ended up looking in their draws behind the counter and they had a few demo discs they use to show the blu rays off. Ghostbusters was one of them. It had a slight mark on the disc, but I still grabbed it at that price.

Guy behind the counter was shocked at the price lol.

  • Bloody hell, I've called a few and they all say they don't have it.

  • Springvale has a few there…

  • i got one from DSE Hallett Cove in SA. sales guy did the double take, "We do have one, wait! sooo cheap. It should still be $20 in my opinion"

  • Got the last two from Sunnybank (AMC) Dickies….display and sealed for present.

    NIIIICE! find @bargrin!!!

  • Got mine from Fremantle. Kids loved it. Thought it might be too scary for them but the special FX are so cheesy that they laughed at them.
