    • Sorry fixed it

      • All good, know what a pain it can be if you're posting on your phone or whatever and just happen to be sitting on the computer right now so was an easy copy and paste for you.

  • Not too cluey about monitors thought's ?

    • I have the 25inch variant of this monitor and I think it's really great bang for buck, have no qualms with it and picture quality is pretty much perfect out of the box in my opinion, the extra screen real estate is great for having windows open side by side as well

      • I see I'm just a little iffy about on 30 something dollars off other deals and 75hz and 5 ms I heard u need 1 ms to not rage quit

        • Yeah I'm no hardcore gamer so I don't have any issues with the 5ms

Also the monitor only has 2 hdmi inputs, which may or may not matter for some people

        • @kingsleym98: 1 dp wouldn't hurt I do have A nice NUC that could mount on the back of this

        • Going to watch reviews hopefully doesn't sell out

      • same comment, i prefer my 25" variant to my 16:10 30" because of the side by side window "feature".
its great and less strenuous for working

I'm not much of a gamer, when games dont support the format (i mostly play old stuff) there are just black bands on the side of the screen

oh there are no speakers too, it can be a pain for some people

given this is a xx-58 model it is pretty old and this deal isnt wonderful, i believe better ones have been posted not long ago

    • It's a much better proposition as a gaming monitor because it has a very significant weakness in the resolution department: 2560x1080. This is a problem for desktop use on a monitor this large. Most people want 1440 pixels height on a 27 inch monitor for desktop use. 1080 pixels is too low (much less of an issue for games though).

Also the vertical height of 29" ultra widescreen is much less compared to 29" widescreen. You can find out by how much at displaywars.com but for example a 34" ultra wide has the same height as a 29" wide from memory.

I think the vertical height is too small to be a decent gaming monitor or much else. For ultra wide to work well you need larger than 29" IMO.

      • Thanks just quit on it

      • significant weakness

Most people want 1440 pixels height on a 27 inch monitor for desktop use.

As you just said though, this isn't a 27" monitor with its smaller vertical height, so I don't see the relevance.

The 1080p vertical resolution isn't that big a deal… hardly a "significant weakness" when it still has a higher PPI than your regular 16:9 24" 1080p monitor.

Sent this to there eBay store hopefully they listen

Come on you can do it a bit better than that 5 months ago it was 30 dollars more make it $250 with code delivered and I'll make sure it sells out

  • Now if only the 34" could drop in price too…
