I own the F800S (SK Telecom - Korean version) of this phone which is pretty much identical spec wise besides bands, and I can say that it's probably the best phone I've had so far. Removable battery, great cameras, top specs, very good DAC which drives even high impedance headphones (>50ohms), "second screen" (which is very handy, I thought it was gimmick at first but placing shortcuts in it is great), micro sd… list goes on.
For this price I'd definitely jump at it. There is the past scare of bootlooping that plagued LG devices and turned lots of people away, but so far there haven't been any hardware related bootloops and it's been about 10 months since launch.
Also lastly, if you get one, do not that the screen is very slightly curved at the top and bottom by about 2mm… just enough that most glass screen protectors won't fit it. Make sure if you get one, to look for one that stops before the very top and bottom.

i bought one two ish weeks ago when there was an ebay sale for $515. I upgraded from my galaxy s7 edge. This thing blows it out of the water. Sounds amazing, its snappy, the camera is great, and the size & screen is in my opinion better than the edge galaxy variant.
The LG rom is great too, but for me the best thing is hands down the DAC, powers most of my headphones well enough and my cheap xiaomi hybrid HD iems sound amazing
For ~$440 this is a steal.
I also bought and installed the dbrand black dragon skin on the battery cover which is awesome
I bought one from the $479 deal last week - so far loving it (only the 3rd day of using), mind you previously I had the Huawei Mate7 so it was quite an upgrade, the DAC is just unbelievable - the only downside is maybe the battery, doesn't last as long as the Huawei.
I was aware of the BL issue, as I owned G3 before the Huawei and it bootlooped on me - but then I decided to take the risk as the price is too hard to resist
Pretty darn good value for the specs. Only thing that turns people away is the fear of bootloops.
I'd buy this if it wasn't such a pocket-bulging 5.7" form factor.
