  • Do you have a reference for the buy 2 get one free deal?

    • That's a separate coles promo (saw the big signs in store last week, so don't know if it's still on or not).

  • +1

I got my samples of this stuff in the mail recently, been using it…it's good, but no better than Sensodyne Original IYAM!

I love the fine print…"instant relief if you apply directly to the sensitive tooth with finger tip and gently massage for 1 minute"! My dentist tells me all toothpaste will have this effect, especially any sensitive one! Otherwise, it's brush twice a day - just like Sensodyne! ;)

    That said, $5 back=good! :D

    • Last time I looked, Coles sensitive toothpaste had the same active ingredients as Sensodyne but at half the price.

      • Nope, sorry! Active ingredients as follows:

        Sensodyne Original = Strontium Chloride
        Other Sensodyne = Potassium Nitrate
        Coles Sensitive = Potassium Nitrate
        Colgate Sensitive = Potassium Nitrate
        Macleans Sensitive = Strontium Nitrate
        Colgate Pro-relief = Arginine+Calcium Carbonate

You are right however, Coles is good toothpaste at a fair price; just not as good as Sensodyne Original! ;)

        • Calcium Carbonate

So that just means something along the lines of chalk/limestone.

I think you will find that is used an an abrasive to help clean your teeth and has nothing to do with pain relief.

          • @anthony: the colgate site http://www.colgateprofessional.com/products/Colgate-Sensitiv… says:

            • Arginine and calcium carbonate in the Pro-Argin™ Technology bind to the dentin surface
            • This helps attract a calcium rich layer into the dentin tubules to effectively plug and seal them
            • The layer resists acids, such as low pH beverages

Plugging all the holes and sealing the nerves? Wouldn't getting a coating of enamel from a dentist be just as useful?

  • I know it says rrp $9.99, but how much does it actually cost at coles, same rrp price?

    • same rrp price at Bi-Lo tonight but yeah the 3 for 2 offer is still live on all Colgate products.
