Based on the below the LTE coverage is across all bands, so it is looking like a good choice

    • Is the one from this deal same as this one from qd_au (ebay)? ie. same network bands?
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-V20-H990DS-64GB-5-7-Inch-1…

      • Nah mate that is another variant

        • ok…thanks….but they look like the same mode (H990DS)?? geniunely wanted to learn - how do you tell if they are different as the one on this deal didnt even have a full model number?

Have owned 2 LGs in the past and will not buy it again.

Damn, that's tempting!! Seems better than the S7 now that I look at the specs.

Wow, how quickly this phone depreciates, it's $859 5 months ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/272121. Is anything wrong with it?

Edit: I noticed this one is 990 whereas the link I sent was 990D. But looking at the screen resolution 990D is inferior, so it should be even cheaper

All LG V20s have the same screen resolution, 2560x1440.

If I were to take a guess at why it went down in price so quick, it'd be that people still haven't got over LG and their bootlooping flagship phones… can't really blame them, but there haven't been any mass reports of bootlooping on the V20 yet so fingers crossed that it stays that way.

      • I dont believe any V20 boot loops have happened

Probably due to talk of the V30's

I have this phone and its very good. Worth noting that its NOT dual sim HYBRID I.E it has 3 slots, 1 micro sd and 2 separate nano sim slots. Plus its 4g/3g dual sim, so is still usable from a dual sim perspective with the 2g network now turned off on some networks

    • Key word is stand by here not active

      • Well it does mean you can't have a call on SIM 1 and use data on SIM 2.

Otherwise you'll still get a call from SIM 1/2.

  • This or G6?

    • This as they both have a very similar processor and not much gain elsewhere too

      • I think the main differences are:
        - G6 is glass body vs V20 is metal
        - G6 is waterproof vs V20 is not
        - V20 got the 3-mic setup vs V20 dont
        - V20 got the quad DAC vs V20 might not (depends on the variants you get)
        - V20 have more traditional aspect ratio vs G6 has this new fancy wide/long format
        - V20 have removable battery vs G6 is unibody ie. cant remove battery

  • no offence to the OP but DWI is not a nice shop and they dont care about customer

    • I bought 3 phones from them in the past and never had any problem.

      • i guess you never made a return claim

        • Naah. Never needed to make one.

        • @pyramid: exactly, that's like buying something (likely to be expensive and fragile) without warranty. You only regret it when need it.

  • Price is now 429 before discount
