The Printer

This Brother QL-570 Professional Label Printer can print up to 68 labels per minute or 110mm per second at 300 dpi which makes it ideal for high volume labelling applications. It can be connected directly to your computer via USB and comes with label creation software so you can easily create your own personalised labels.

You can use this machine to print high resolution labels for shipping boxes, envelopes, CDs, ID badges, barcodes and more.

It features a built-in auto cutter.

It can be used to print on labels with a width between 12.7 mm and 1000 mm.

It utilises thermal printing technology so there's no ink or toner required.

The Deal

This special comes from Labelcity which is currently quoting this label maker for $49.50 + $11 postage.

Though I bought it for $57.48 from OfficeWorks with a price match on the spot. Their usual $88 price (price matched minus an extra 5%).

This printer uses software on your computer to print onto the DK-type thermal paper. This is MUCH cheaper than the usual TZ tape on brothers stand alone label makers. And much quicker if you are copy + pasting addresses, etc.

  • I Have one of these. They are awesome. I use them to create shipping labels and the software can connect to a spreadsheet for mail merge type label printing.

  • how much for the blank rolls?
DK11201 Standard Address Label (Starter roll, 100 labels),
DK22205 62mm Continuous Length Paper Tape (Starter roll, 8m)

    • Branded, not cheap. Generic aren't too bad.

A true Ozbargainer won't buy genuine rolls:

    • Or hack it to take standard receipt paper and sticky tape the prints on! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7fYWOQu6VI

More seriously though I've used some of the generic brands and wouldn't trust their adhesive for shipping labels. For general labelling though they should be fine. The transparent one I used was a bit milky though also.

  • So tempted but got the deal of the EPSON Labelworks LW400, im Not sure but if this can do tabs and flags I might purchase one. Ecatsuj do you know from experience if it does those flags and general household labelling or is it more for shipping and soho and large offices?

  • $$%z!!! I bought this exact model this morning!!!! Hunted around on Ebay to find the lowest price and also got $15 off, but still not as cheap as this!

AND I forgot to go via Cash Rewards. I am really off my game today.
