Having bought some LIFX bulbs and the Google Home recently I am now eager to do some home automation. These motion sensors are IFTTT compatible and do not require a hub.

    "2nd via redemption" info here
    Makes a big difference to the deal.

    • Didn't they run out during the last redemption offer?

    I hate redemption offers.
    "You may have to wait up to 60 days from cutoff date of 14July17 to receive your bonus"

  • Why would you get this when you can get motion activated light fittings?

    • Can they be configured via a smart home network?

      • What is there to configure that can't be configured with the inbuilt controls on the motion sensor?

          Being able to brag to your friends over chai lattes and kale muffins that you have smart lights that you can turn on and off with your iPhone 7+.

          @MakingBacon:

          Jokes on you, I don't have friends!

    • motion activated light fittings are so 1980's

    • You can use it to action things other than lights. Perhaps, turn on your heater when it senses you've driven into your garage for example.

  • Keen to have a a motion sensor on the toilet light for the kids at night.
    I get that it can turn the light on, but what would be the best way to have the light go off after a few minutes? Never looked into this before.
    Thanks.

    • Look into IFTTT. Once they turn on you can set your lights to to turn off after X amount of time.
