Received this email tonight. Probably targeted, can anyone confirm? Okay, confirmed to be targeted. Obviously it won't be the cheapest price on batteries, but throw in triple points and it becomes pretty good. Full text as follows:

    selected = "ultra". Almost the same as regular coppertop, but normally way more expensive. They even publish the specs, but of course nobody reads them.
    Any Duracell is a bad deal in Australia for some reason.

    Not sure if the Coles alkaline batteries are any good, but Varta and others are great. Less than half the price of "half price" duracell.

    Triple points might be targeted, but its showing in my Coles catalogue as 1/2 price.

        well ~$3.50 is still much cheaper than normal price of coppertop 9Vs so its a winner in my books
