    OzBargain Exclusive: 22% off Sitewide

    That's only 2% off… Let's not be misleading here…

There website clearly shows that anyone normally gets 20% off their first order…

    • +4

And if anyone else posted this, we'd be seeing a comment saying My Protein is better…

      • +10

Don't you mean "My Protein is whey better"?

      • +8

        saying My Protein is better…

        No whey !!!

        • Whey more than you expect it to be

    • -1

Didn't see you comment here for 6% off Woolworths gift cards https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/305629

But hey , that only 1% off … right jv

      • that only 1% off …

Well said, title should read "further 2% only discount on first order at Amino-Z"

      • That wouldn't sound as dramatic though, now would it?

    • This.

Where is your referral link EC?

Edit: Oh- there it is. Almost thought you posted a deal without one

How to claim the 22% discount? In checkout all I can get is $5off for the referral link.

    • Click Main link , follow the steps for your code

      Cheers

      • Thanks, it was there right in front of me all along haha

As previously mentioned, this is only 2% more than what is always available for new customers. Pretty crappy deal.

    • Let's see if you neg the next 5.5% or 6% off Woolworths wish card deal , cause it's only 0.5 - 1% what it's always available .. right !

      • +2

I do neg those along with the cash rewards 0.5% because they along with this are crap

AminoZ appears to have a lot of fake positive reviews, and quite a few negative reviews on Product Review/Google Maps/Facebook. The general consensus seems to be avoid ordering things that say they're on back-order, in case they send you the wrong thing or nothing at all.

Also they use Fastway as the default delivery method, whom also have many negative reviews. The general consensus here appears to be avoid Fastway if living in a more remote area/far away from a Fastway depot. Perhaps select Auspost in these cases.

This being said, I ordered a couple things from AminoZ (for the first time) in the recent 20% off sale. I didn't come across these negative reviews until afterwards and started worrying, because everything appeared to be so legit at first. But my order arrived well within the estimated delivery period (using Fastway ~ 20mins away from depot). And the products were the correct ones ordered. I even contacted two different manufacturers who both verified the authenticity of the products I received, and assured me AminoZ was a trusted retailer of theirs.

Maybe I never had a reason to worry? Maybe I got lucky? Either way, it's best to take caution when ordering from online supplement stores.

Hi JimmyLmao, thanks for the post here. I'm glad you shared both your concerns and also your positive experience and hope you were happy with your order. I certainly support your decision to do your due diligence and I would personally encourage anyone to do the same before trading with us (or anyone else for that matter). Checking our public reviews and calling up our suppliers are both excellent ways to do this.

Regarding Fastway, we do use Fastway and also Australia Post. You do have the option of choosing one carrier or the other at checkout if you prefer. Overall we have a very high level of satisfaction with Fastway which is comparable to Australia Post. I won't lie, both carriers do lose parcels on rare occasions but in our experience this is very uncommon with the volumes of orders that we send out. If ever an issue does arise, we will fix this up for you.

As the owner of the company, I can assure you that we have absolutely no fake reviews. We have a large number of reviews on Product Review and also on Google. My personal belief is that if someone does have a poor experience, in an effort to add credibility to their claim an assumption is made that all the positive experiences must be fake. I am not denying that we have made mistakes in the past, but to claim that other reviews are simply fake simply because their experience is different, in my opinion, is absurd.

There are serious ramifications to posting fake reviews, such as being banned from the respective websites and there may even be grounds for penalties to be applied. Considering that we have three stores and are one of the largest online retailers of supplements in Australia, this is not something we can afford to do. Plus the permanent damage this would cause our brand is irreversible. After spending countless hours over 11 years building this company up from nothing, I can tell you right now that the risk associated with this practice is simply not worth it.

I'll be honest, we aren't perfect - and if we were we would be getting 5 stars across the board. We do have amazing ratings and fantastic customers who support the brand to whom we are eternally grateful. But when issues do arise, we will do our best to rectify problems by going above and beyond.

Anyway JummyLmao, appreciate the feedback as we're always looking to take on board customer experiences and improve how we do things!

      • I'm glad I had a positive experience! Thanks :)

My reasoning behind the fake positive reviews comment is to do with the fact that a lot of them are new accounts created on the same day as the review, and have only ever made 1 review (the one praising Amino Z)… highly suspicious IMO

However, there does seem to be genuine positive reviews too, mine included :)

        • Thanks for the reply (and the positive review) JimmyLmao :)

Good point with the new accounts. This is because we will send an email over to ask our customers to place a review on these sites and share their experience. You may have received an email from Ailene asking this. Most people don't already have an account on there

          Thanks again JimmyLmao.

        • @aminozcomau: interested in ISO100. Website shows the older version. Is this right?

        • @superbass: It will depend upon the size and flavour. We do have some stock of the old packaging, but mostly the new packaging. It would be best to contact the customer service team directly to find out more specifically if your desired size and flavour is the old or new packaging. They are available via chat on the website, phone (1300 264 669) or email. Hope this helps.

        • @aminozcomau: Thanks Jay. I asked via a chat to Dean yesterday. He said he will check with the warehouse and let me know via email, but haven't heard back. keen to find out if you have 2.27kg cinnamon bun flavour in the new packaging. Thanks.

There was one good deal I found if you combine it with the 'deal of the day'

    http://www.aminoz.com.au/cellucor-c4-50x-45-serves.html

This is a great pre-workout comparing to whats on the market at the moment. If you buy 3x tubs its works out to be $42 a tub with free shipping.

Retail price is around $65 and on special the best I've found is around $50-55.

    Other than that……meh.

did you negotiate this deal out of the goodness of your heart, or are you getting some kind of incentive/cut?

    • 🙈🙉🙊

    • Haha

    • Just an FYI

The short of the current guidelines:

      • Users asking companies for deals and then posting WITHOUT receiving a financial reward (money/freebie/store credit etc.) is fine.

      • If there is a financial reward OR the company is asking you to post on behalf of them (as this bypasses posting limits), then the user should mark as associated.
