TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver $398 Delivered @ Golf Clearance Outlet

490

Ignore the RRP it's quite outdated. This is still an amazing deal for what I think is a great driver!

Various shafts & both right/left handed available here

Building on the speed producing success of the original 60X Carbon Twist Face that optimized energy transfer for fast ball speeds, the new face design in Stealth 2 features an advanced version of Inverted Cone Technology (ICT) to help maintain ball speed on off-center strikes and increase forgiveness. It weighs 24g (2g lighter than the original Stealth face) and is designed to have an expanded COR area for a larger sweet spot and boosted performance across the entire face.

Nice. Not sold on the carbon, though.

      whats your handicap?

      • +11

What makes you think he’s handicapped?

        1. I've got a TaylorMade M4 which I'm happy with anyway.
        • yea, stick with that. no need for a new driver unless you are just really really bored and have money to burn, lol. the tech in golf has pretty much capped out, you won't see much benefit coming from an M4

try break the face within warranty (1 year I suppose?), and you might get a QI35 replacement!!!

    • Challenge accepted ⛳

      Key word “might”

  • +20

Had mine 2 years only problem with it is the guy using it……

  • I'll upgrade the Cobra F9 one day, but I just love the thing.

    • stick with it, that's a great driver. tech is pretty much maxed out already on golf clubs, especially with all the limitations from the pga.

      • I nearly bought a backup from marketplace recently. It's the first large headed "good" driver I've had.

I was previously rocking the Callaway Warbird which is a beast in it's own special way.

Someone can try this for 5% off WTFGR

    • Seems to work, 15% off does not

My strategy has always been, if I need a bigger ticket item, I purchase balls first, separately, free shipping over $30, spin that wheel and hope for a code to go with whatever I really want.

It's not like I'll never NOT need more balls.

Also they are classic leave 'something in your cart long enough, get emailed a code.'

This, or the Qi10 for $1790 (including uber costs)?

  • +5

No amount of increased forgiveness can fix my slice.

    • won't fix it, but makes it slice less.
making a difference from being in play in the rough versus out of bounds.

  • Need this for some Happy Gilmore cosplay

  • Will get you slicing even further

Only stiff and reg flex and 10.5 degree available.

Prefer firm and 9 degree. A pity. Looks like a bit of a beast, and TaylorMade a very strong pedigree.

Can’t understand how amateurs can opt for stiff shaft when all but a few don’t have swing speed to match.

    • +5

I've never heard of a "firm" shaft before? (No pun intended).

Just googled it and it seems like something Callaway did years ago.

    • +5

Haven't heard of firm being widely used either. 9 degree is available with stiff shaft

    • +1

I'm an amateur, 15 handicap and easily fall into the stiff category.

      Also, what is firm?

  • +1

Haha… you’re absolutely right. Callway woods. Owned a bunch of them.

Made a liar out myself too because I have a Mizuno 460 that I absolutely love… just checked. Stiff. 60

I wonder how this compares to this one. Is there even a standard?

    • +1

The shafts are normally made by a 3rd party I believe, so I'd say yeah there would be some kind of standard as to what makes regular, stiff, extra stiff etc.

      • +1

There is no standard. It makes comparing shafts difficult and similarlym, fittings very important.

        • Yeah and profile matters just as much

  • if it would be the HD version then i would buy that

Stealth 2 HD is the most stable and forgiving driver in the family.

    • Dont think theres much difference forgiveness wise. HD refers to "High Draw" its more a anti slice driver than any more forgiving… If your battling a slice than yeah HD is for you.

    • I have the HD which might be of interest to you

  • headcover included?

    welcome05 or welcome5 works for 5%

    • Yes includes headcover

  • Post text is wrong:

The NEW TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Driver features an updated 60X Carbon Twist Face….aylorMade to include a 15g sliding weight…..

It's not the Plus and not the HD, just the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver.

Will this make me as good as the goats of golf? Bryson and Trump

  • Thought that was a USB connector in the picture… Was thinking "Neat. A stealth USB drive within a golf club"

  • This is a real bargain for the lefties

    https://www.golfbox.com.au/clubs/cobra-king-ltdx-ls-driver-b…

    Love mine

  • With the red face it looks like you are unable to see where you hit the ball?

    • Yeah doesn't leave ball marks

  • +2

went out for 18 holes today, used this driver for the first time, very happy with it. Best round so far! thanks op
