G'day Guys,

4th time we have done this now, figured today was a good day todo it.

Miniport are a Brisbane based provider of high-quality NBN services all around Australia. We are 100% Australian owned and operated with all support and development being run from within Australia

First 3 yielded some great new clients however a lot has changed over the past 6 months since we put an offer up so we figured we would go again.

The code “fiddybux” will get you a once off $50 discount on ALL residential NBN products.

All residential NBN products also come with free basic web hosting
We provide a high-quality service- This is why we are a little bit more expensive than the big providers however we are well worth it especially if you are experiencing incredibly slow NBN during peak times.
IPv6 only connections are available upon request.
Miniport are not claiming to be the biggest, best or oldest, we just have a good product that we want to share.

We offer same day transfer for new clients with existing NBN services with other providers and a 30-day money back guarantee if you are not happy with your service We will refund no questions asked- beyond those of some basic troubleshooting.
Our NBN starts at $35 per month for a 5/1 service and goes all of the way up to $122 for 1TB of 100/40 with setup fee’s ranging from $75-$250

Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Fair Use can be found on the website or obtained by emailing [email protected]

All sales and support are run via facebook, email, and ticketing on our website. We can call you if needed but you CANNOT call us.

Please leave any feedback in the comments.

May the 4th be with you.

We can call you if needed but you CANNOT call us.

That explains it all. Viewer discretion advised.

    • Useful post. Thankyou!

Question for OP. How can you be a provider of high quality NBN and not be available to take a phone call, as well as openly claiming that you charge more?

      • +2

I don't have a problem with this, not unusual for many ISP's. I'd prefer to see an aussie company who's truly aussie than be bumped offshore. But it is pricey… To switch or not now.

Op - who do you buy your NBN through?

        • +1

It is pricey, Feel free to chat to our website's live chat system and a 10% discount code may appear. It is not much but CVC is not cheap and to provide a service that we ourselves are happy with.

We purchase NBN tails from AAPT who in 18 months have not let us down on CVC for even a second.

Very easily (though I have no idea if they're better).

It's not only much faster to provide support via email it's also a brilliant way of weeding out the more difficult customers who want their hand held to plug a keyboard in while telling you their life story.

People cannot call us because we have automated the entire process. From the time you click onto our site to the time your NBN comes on all of about 3 seconds of human interaction is required and that is to confirm the payment is not fraudulent.

Once you sign up I am more than happy to share my personal mobile number with you so you can contact us at any time.

Myrepublic - $59.99 unlimited data, highest available speed up to 100/40 (I get up to 90/40, although yes it can slow during peak but I figure the price offsets this for me). Oh and you can call them!!!!!

  • How do you do authentication with HFC connections ? Can I use my own router ?

I'm happy to pay extra for a good connection and the ability to use a router of my choice.

Some ISPs (TPG/iinet/Internode) do crazy things like requiring the PPPoE credentials to be passed on VLAN 2 so it's almost impossible to use your own router (the list of routers that can do this is miniscule).

    • HFC NBN is "authenticated" via a /30(2 usable IP address, one for your router, one for our gateway) static ip setup.

Quite literally any NBN compatible router on the market(+ a boat load that are not NBN compatible) can be used.
No crazy things happening here, everything is very clean and simple.

      • Does the router need to be DOCSIS compatible?

        • +1

          It does not no.

DOCSIS is built into the NBN NTD in HFC properties and the connection is terminated as a standard ethernet connection.

        • +2

The HFC "modem" part is included as part of the connection. You can connect a normal router directly into the Ethernet port, as per Miniport's reply above.
