If you're looking for cute little lunch boxes and tools, Daiso has them for $2.80.

      That's single conpartment

Bento are multiple compartment so you only have to take one container for lunch rather than 3 or 4 per meal

The website only has limited information. They have multiple compartment bento boxes too.

Would be helpful if you can post a pic of those boxes

        Also only available in store

Sure. Here's some photos from someone's blog that shows a few examples, but obviously that's not the whole range.

Typical Daiso lunch box aisle looks something like this - I realise this one was not taken in Australia but Daiso has stores internationally.

Bento boxes are a Japanese concept so Daiso, being a Japanese chain, has got this covered. I realise that they are not the exact same products but I really can't justify spending $15-$40 on a lunchbox from this deal. But each to their own.

Yes you are correct that you can't buy Daiso products online, only in-store.

  • I was actually looking for lunch boxes with multiple compartments at the beginning of this year. I checked out two different Daiso stores and couldn't find anything with more than two compartments. However, I successfully found some decent lunch boxes with about 4 sections each from Coles, Woolworths and Kmart - it wasn't perfect (like those from Little Bento World, I guess) but for about $5 a box, it was more than fine.

  • Don't forget to use code "MEOW" (up to midnight tonight 4/5/2017) for another 10% off as per this deal posted by @easternculture - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/305277

Love the lunchboxes, but they are exy - and unsure if my little one will end up losing it!!!

If you are buying these boxes for your kids, don't bother getting expensive ones.
My son broke a sistema box with a few compartment on his first day. Good thing it only cost me $7.
Better off getting a few small boxes and put all these in lunch bag with ice brick.
