    Water Saving Shower Head

i never feel clean after washing under one of these.

    • Hi there, sorry to hear you have had bad showers with water saving shower heads. Some of the older ones were absolutely awful. The new WELS (Water Efficiency Labelling Standard) has made sure you will have a great shower at low flow rates. All of our products are WELS and Watermark certified. We also provide a 30 Day no questions asked money back guarantee. If you don't like it just send it back for a full refund. Cheers

      • nah i like my water pressure being really good, these kill water pressure and it a trickle

        • +5

Thats why I rip out the restrictor in the showerhead evverytime I buy a new one (which are usually the cheapies from Bunnings). I love being blasted by water.

      • They are all the same. Had quality ones installed in my new house. Never felt so clean after having a shower in a hotel with non water saving head.

        • +3

For what it's worth, my parents have a water saving showerhead that has insanely good pressure and DESTROYS the other non-water saving showerhead in the second bathroom.

There are good ones out there, I wouldn't just write them off.

          @Bronwyn Bishop:

Carr to share brand and model.

        • @ca6leguy: I'll try to remember next time I'm back at my parents' :)

        • @ca6leguy: my personal favourite so far is the Niagara 2917. There is also a suffix 15 and 20 model (1.5 & 2 gpm)

It's adjustable too. The massage/upper setting is fantastic for stripping off any soap/etc.

@Lukian: Thought the sentence was going to end with "stripping off any paint".

hmmm Now $34.96 sounds about a normal price for a watersaving head,

What's so special about one of these ?

    FREE DELIVERY Australia Wide

is a good thing,, but not sure it's any better than anything in local bunnings, which we can take back if there is ever an issue with those.

hmmm Now $34.96 sounds about a normal price for a watersaving head,

Have a look at bunnings - there's $7 shower heads that have a 3* wells rating.

      • Yeah but some of those are really really bad, even good quality interbath ones are around 29$ or so..

        • They're pretty good, once you remove the flow restrictor. If you buy a more expensive shower head, it tends to be difficult to remove the flow restrictor.

        • @sp00ker:

We'll if you buy a good one the spread of the drops and water pattern is comfortable enough that you don't have to remove the restrictor

        • @dealman: I agree, If you get a dud from your local hardware shop you should take it back. There is nothing wrong with trying them first. If you go to a proper plumbing supplies they often have a display where you can test them first. But the shower heads can often be very expensive. If you buy from us you are supporting a 100% Australian owned company and we guarantee our products with a 30 no questions asked return policy. All of out products are tested by independent testing laboratories and includes Flow Rate, Mean Spray Spread Angle, Temperature Drop and Watertightness of End Connectors. Cheers

          Oh dear…

Thanks 30 days no questions asked is good. Will give you a plus for that.

supporting a 100% Australian owned company

Bunnings is also Australian owned.. Also.. More than likely both of you are selling showerheads made in China, nothing wrong with it.. But don't like the jingoism implicit in that line.

Do you sell the Commando 450?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMITcQUe-9M

    • Haha… as soon as I saw the bargain I immediately thought of that episode.

    • Hi, I actually love that programme and it still gives me a good belly laugh! It is such a pity than when the first low flow shower heads came in they were so bad. Either you had death by 1000 needles, had to run in circles to get wet or had a scalded head and frozen feet! Public confidence was destroyed in the first few years because the testing standards were not fully developed. WELS standards are now the most comprehensive in the world and we have spent $10,000s developing and testing our products and believe even Seinfeld & Cramer would love em!. Cheers

A real fan would know it's Kramer, not Cramer…..

        • +1

          That's Cosmo Kramer, The ASSMAN!

  • +2

it's not exactly saving water if less water coming out of the nozzle just means it takes you longer to shower

  • When the Australian Government brought in the WELS (water efficient labelling and standards scheme) that required showers to have a flow rate of 9 L/pm or less the testing requirements were nothing like what they are today. Either you had death by 1000 needles, had to run in circles to get wet or had a scalded head and frozen feet!
Fortunately things have come a long way since then and you should be able to have a great shower at 9L/pm or less if the shower has been tested and certified to current WELS standards. Just like modern cars get more litres per kilometre and are more comfortable.
The current standards set by the Australian Government are mandatory and very strict. All of our products at Water Saving Showers Australia are WELS and WaterMark certified. The testing is undertaken by independent testing laboratories and includes Flow Rate, Mean Spray Spread Angle, Temperature Drop and Watertightness of End Connectors. This is your guarantee of a great shower at low flow rates.
Be careful of buying any showerhead that is not WELS rated as they have not been tested for comfort and use a lot more water.
I hope this has been helpful and please feel free to make comments.

  • OP, any deals on the Serbian Commando 450 shower head?

    • You don't need them, Seinfeld & Cramer use our now!

      • Sorry, but that's the only one I'll use.

The Serbs are fanatics about their shower heads.

      • Oops! Kramer, not Cramer….

  • No comment on the quality but you can swap your current showerhead for a free water saving one in Victoria through your water company and some councils
    http://yourenergysavings.gov.au/rebates/showerhead-exchange-…
This is the one you get through CWW https://www.bunnings.com.au/flexispray-wels-3-star-9l-min-be…
Not sure if they all provide the same showerhead
