NATO Straps $6.00 Delivered (40% off) @ OzStraps

490
NATO40

I've bought a leather strap from these guys
Awesome company, quick postage
I picked up the black obsidian
You can get similar for cheap but I want to support an aussie company who's standards are certainly higher

how
All you need is:
-a spring bar tool to get the old strap or bracelet off
-what width strap you need and you're sweet.

For anyone unfamiliar these straps they thread through the gap between the watch and spring bar and under the watch case to hold the watch in place.

I purchased the Mayfair leather strap at ozstraps and the quality is top notch, though a tad uncomfortable imo.
For over straps use a welcome discount code :)

Limited designs to choose from but you can't go wrong at $6 Aus shipped.

Bought some previously and they are nice and soft unlike some other ones out there at this price point.

    • Glad to hear that

    • Yeah, I'm surprised at the limited selection.. all the buckles appear to be shiny silver, which doesn't suit my application..

      • +1

Unfortunately we have not been focussed on our NATO range as much as our Apple Watch Band Series. However, we will most definitely look at bringing a greater variety of NATOs in the near future!

We also prefer to bring in what the community wants/asks for i.e the Bond NATO, so if you have any suggestions feel free to contact us :)

        • Thanks for your reply. Most black NATOs have the option of Black, Polished and Matt buckles.. I understand not having those options on all of the variants… I would have purchased if you had more options.

  • Donald Trump has a problem with NATO straps.

    • He thinks they are obsolete. So I'm not sure I wanna buy one.

I've got a blue strap from the last deal. It's great for my Pebble as it doesn't feel as hot on my wrist as the standard rubber one does. I'm getting another for my Skagen to wear to Greece. Thanks OP!

  • Do they come with spring bars this time?

    • +17

We usually sell the spring bars for $2.99.. however since you asked so nicely we would be more than happy to provide them free of charge with these NATO strap orders for you and all our OzBargain customers.

      Complimentary spring bars for all!!

Thanks again for supporting us Sween :)

      • Can I ask nicely for a discount on the leather straps? :)

        • Of course :) I will note that one down (we usually base our offers on customer requests we receive)

If you are after a leather Apple Watch band we actually have a 25% off Apple Watch Leather Collection promotion running in parallel at the moment, only 1 week left !

Also make sure you subscribe to our email newsletter or give us a like on Facebook for our latest offers and promotions!

        • @Simonnn: Been thinking of trying these out so have bought a couple, hope they come with spring bars… :)

        • @Shads: No worries, I'll make sure you have them included with your order!

      • Thanks Simonnn!

  • Good deal… Will order some straps for my Diver

  • Any straps with 18mm widith? I had a quick look and didnt find any.

  • Quick response, didnt expect that. Leather one looked interesting never seen one with double clasp as the buckle. But abit too much for me.

Quick way to cheapen the look of your watch. Why would you downgrade the strap with this thin looking nylon that would frey and cheap metal buckle?

    • I guess you haven't used a nato strap before?

    • For some watches it's a great way to add colour or a cheap way to have an alternative band that is waterproof.

      • How well does water treat them?

        • NATO straps are waterproof, they dry reasonably quickly whilst worn.

        • @sween64: You kind of contradicted yourself - waterproof would mean they wouldn't need to dry in the first place

        • @ohrehman: Waterproof in that there will be no permanent damage. Even rubber bands need to dry, it's just a lot quicker. Conversely leather bands aren't water proof as they may get stained.

I guess it's not that right word. Waterproof usually means impervious to water which these aren't…

    • Don't worry I'm sure these won't fit your genuine "Rolox".

I do own a datejust, so how's the 6th grade?

@gokhanh: the third symptom of aggressive masterbaition is blindness

  • Sale ends at midnight tonight.

  • Does this fit on the pebble and pebble 2?

    • Measure the width. My Pebble Time is 22mm and the 22mm NATO strap works for me. Not that due to the band design the rear will be covered up, I actually found that I was able to use the strap to hold the charging cable more securely.

I'm not affiliated with any company and the below is just my honest opinion.

I've bought a few of these NATOs from OzStraps, and, you get what you pay for.

The straps are quite thin and on some of mine the stitching was poor quality. The worst part is probably the holes that started to fray straight away.

I've bought from AliExpress at similar prices and they were much better quality.

    • Hi Goobar - it is definitely unfortunate to hear your experience, feel free to shoot us an email and we will sort it out for you :)

    • This is my exact experience too when I bought from an aussie seller. The buckle was also extremely prone to scratching.

Ordered one from the US and it was the exact opposite and still seems like in brand new condition even today.

Do your research, people, instead of falling with the hype.

    • +1

I have to agree with this. I don't mind the strap being thin, but the holes in my strap started fraying within a week. I've since loosened the strap to use a different hole and that hole is fraying as well. As a result, the hook on the buckle occasionally comes loose. I have to pull the hook through the hole multiple times a day to prevent it from falling off. Annoying to say the least.

That being said I still think it's worth $6, but if there are better quality ones on Aliexpress for the same price, I might start looking there.

We will be expanding our range with Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 bands very soon, watch this space :)

      • cheers old mate. when they come in can you do a deal here on OZB. I'm sure you will make a lot of cash money

        • We will most definitely do an introductory offer! in the mean time please do let us know if you have any preferences with what types of bands you would like to see in the Galaxy Gear S3 range (e.g. silicon, leather, metal).

        • @Simonnn:

The bigger the range the better. I will get a couple

        • +1

@tith: Hi there - just thought I'd let you know that we have just launched our Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 band collection!

        • @Simonnn:

Great thanks for the heads up

Are you going to run a deal on them?

  • -1

A trend item that has aggressively taken hold of the watch industry, NATOs can be found on just about any watch, from $35 Timex Weekenders to $7,000 Rolex Submariners to $50,000 Patek Philippes

What rubbish, there's no way I want to replace my Swiss Leather wrist band (worth ~$350) to go with a funky, nylon band of $10 just because it's a trend. Once it starts stinking up from sweat from the poor materials used, you would know why your Swiss Band costs as much as a container's worth of these

    • Yeah the dude below you even says "I have found you have to wash it weekly or it can smell sweaty" LOL.

      Nylon watch band, gross.

      • +1

You probably put these on a Country Road or Espirit watch ($60-$90 watches)to give it some colour after some wear, not freakin Swiss watches and certainly not on the calibre of Rolex or PP.

  • I have been using one of these Nato bands on a Pebble T2 for two years and its been fautless, I just bought another as a replacement in the future. They are a fun way to add character to the watch. I have found you have to wash it weekly or it can smell sweaty. And as mentioned already the changing point is covered by the strap.

    • Do you wear it whilst exercising? I wear mine while I work on hot days and wearing it in the shower is enough to keep it from smelling.

    • Pebble T2 for two years

      Where'd you get this?

I backed this watch in a kickstarter but was refunded as pebble was bought out by fitbit along with everyone else.

  • Purchased, been looking for a good deal on NATO straps. Thanks OP.

  • Sold out of the classics in 22mm

  • No Nato straps for me…kim jong un is watching

  • IIRC, last time there was a deal with this store, the rep admitted that they are a distributor for an AliExpress store.

So you're essentially paying a small premium for local delivery.

    • Are you remembering this for their istraps?

      AssociatedSimonnn on 29/12/2016 - 19:51
Good eye! iStrap is our preferred distributor for our leather bands as we have found that their quality exceeds that of the other products which we sampled. We are an official distributor of iStrap products so if there is anything else in their catalogue that interests you, we can work out a deal with iStrap and bring them in for a competitive local price.

      AssociatedSimonnn on 29/12/2016 - 19:56
Hi WorkAround! Thanks for the feedback, as per my response above iStrap is our preferred distributor for our leather bands as we have found that their quality exceeds that of the other products which we sampled. In the future we will try and do our best to be transparent with our product source so that the community know exactly what they're paying for!

this is better quality than the ebay ones i bought
