Search here for details on where your ANZAC relative enlisted and sailed to, where they served and fought, and much more.

*Terms and Conditions Apply. Access to the records in the featured Australian, New Zealand and UK collections will be free until 11:59pm (AEST) on Tuesday 25 April 2017. To view these records, you will need to register for free with Ancestry.com.au with your name and email address. We will then send you a username and password. After the free access period ends, you will only be able to view the records in the featured Australian, New Zealand and UK collections using an Ancestry.com.au paid membership.       actually it's more than likely because most of the records were destroyed.

      but technically not a loser against Australians, as never in direct combat (and never have been, in any war).

  It is good that is free. Just checked my great grandfather and it works. However, I access the WW1 & WW2 Aussie records that have been already been released by the govt for free anyway via the National Archives of Australia records search so nothing in this for me given after the trial period you need the paid subscription. https://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/NameSearch/Interface/NameSea…

    Can't upvote enough. Ancestry is an absolute scam. Almost all of their data is coming from free sources, they just package all of those free sources into one.

    It could be forgiven if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive.

  This is a scam to obtain users personal and family details for their database. The Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) have a vested interest in Ancestry.com for their religious records.

    I believe Mormons started it (correct me if im wrong). Mormons have always been heavily invested in genealogy which is good for us all

    Mormon's use this info to baptise people by proxy after they die (or sometimes even before). Yes, after you die you'll be baptised by proxy by some mormon.

    The mormon church isn't strictly related to ancestry.com but they do use the records plenty and have had various partnerships.
