expensive umbrellas…are they actually any good?
Yes they are.
Buy one of these if you want an umbrella that can withstand very strong winds and not fail when you need it the most.
I got sick of the cheap umbrellas blowing inside out and failing on me and after heaps of research I came across this brand. I replaced the 4 cheap umbrellas we have with these nearly 2 years ago. We've got 1x Golf_G1, 1x Metro and 2x Classic….all are money well spent in my opinion.
I do hate crappy umbrellas that blow inside out!
Luckily, my whole family are using a bunch of corporate branded umbrellas that seem to be very sturdy and well made. I don't think I've ever experienced a blow out on one of these umbrellas either. No doubt, the Blunt ones are even sturdier, but my current ones have held up well for years with no issues (the metal end cap did come off one umbrella, but I do have a tendency to smack the tip on the pavement!).
I guess when my supply of these umbrellas runs out (they are ex-corporate, following a rebrand), I'll look into one of these fancy ones!
might have the same - a certain law firm one?
Nah, mine is an engineering firm one…but I did study law, and I think I know the ones you mean! :)
I've got the Golf G1 and it certainly holds up to strong winds, the build quality on these are simply the best.
Just hope you don't forget it at a restaurant or on the bus/train as it will be costly.
I know that feeling I lost mine whilst I was travelling in Japan felt like i lost a part of me that day.
aha yeah, you'd be pretty devastated to leave one of these behind at $92 a pop! :)
Even my free corporate umbrellas (which are much sturdier than your average umbrella) cause me grief when I leave them behind! I started with about 6, and now I'm down to 3-4…each one hurts! :)
Bring Back the Woodworm deal 3 x for $25 odd bucks was a bargain.
That is a terrible umbrella, i bought one and it blew inside out the very first day i used it.
Good thing you have another two!
These look good but are only good to get from your car to shelter.
I sat on a wet day at the soccer field and the darn thing still leaked!!!
Thanks for the warning. I considered getting one for my step-daughter.
I have the small one and concur with all the other owner comments - they are excellent.
what is this again? made from gold?
$92 for an umbrella is crazy expensive
Why? Just because you don't see worth in something, doesn't make it expensive.
Actually… it does.
The price that someone is willing to pay for something is also what that person thinks it is worth.
Whether something is expensive or cheap is subjective.
Their comment is very subjective, I could say $3 for an avocado is expensive, but it may be cheap to someone who loves them.
@cdestratis: $3 is cheap. Avocado was 2 for $10 on special in Woolies
@eatwell365: Ouch! 2 for $4 at Coles Morisset NSW this evening.
Any bargains?
Is that a flying Mary Poppins umbrella?
Jokes aside though, it looks like a good umbrella based on the video, i just dont know if i can bring myself to pay that much.
…youd have to be smoking a lot of blunts to think paying $92 for an umbrella is a deal!
or even posting it as a deal
How does this umbrella compare to, say, a train? Which I could also afford.
Settle down, Count Homer!
Probably faster.
I've got one of these and have to say it's the best umbrella I've ever owned. Very sturdy and looks quite nice (as nice as an umbrella can anyway)
do they offer these umbrellas at the first class terminal?
gee at least please put the picture photo or official website so people know
Comments are making me change my position on this umbrella. Wouldn't mind the metro, dont live near a PK though so will have to wait for online deal.
Some umbrella's are worth paying a little extra for:
damn so people buy $92 umbrellas yeah? i have totes titan brand sitting on ebay cart at $35 but still thinking 200x to click buy now.
where are the 3 golf umbrella deals for under $30 bucks gone?
$100 might be excessive, but I paid $30-40 for a Fulton umbrella and it's lasted 4 years under 80km/h wind. Worth every cent
Loved my $50 umbrella but…… Burns so much when I lose it/leave it behind on public transport.
any Sharp Umbrella??
