Have been looking for a headlamp for hiking.
Found this bargain - 180 lumen with focus adjust and angle adjust. It's not the best in the market (I don't need a rechargable headlamp - I have my eneloop), but the reviews are quite positive and for $42 you get yourself a very bright headlamp. I was blind for a second when I tried it at a camping store.
LED Lenser SEO5 Headlamp - $42 Delivered @ Knives Online eBay Store (Normally around $80-$100)

I was curious too, but I just can't find any lower than $42 right now. So is the lowest price right now not consider a bargain?
"Not really a deal. COTD sold it for around $35 last year"
So what about if you want to buy one now? How does last year's price help?
I just meant the price was normal not quite a bargain. It's another story if you have to rush to Westfield to pick one in a retail shop anyway
I got mine for $11.99 at COTD. It was part of their 50/60% off sales.
This price sounds crazy!
Thanks freakthe $42 is a very good price.

COTD deal not currently available so doesn't matter.Hi There
Thanks for the post. Many here appreciate your effort.
Cheers!
An interesting long term review of this headlamp here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbQQrXCgO1w
I have a number of older black diamond headlamps foe hiking which have served me reasonably well but are now nearing the end of their life. Would have considered this one but this review has put me off.
Thanks rodo for shedding more light on the product, most illuminating………………and eliminating if the reviewer's one is typical of the build quality.
3xAAA is (IMO) a terrible choice for a headlamp. You would be better off with something like a Thrunite TH20 for about the same price, with a higher output from a single AA, and the ability to run a 14500 cell in it and get 500 lumens from it. Plus, the Thrunite has a much lower low which will come in much handier at night when camping.
I just got one of these on sale ($25) repackaged a a bike light, I assume because they weren't selling well as a headlamp… I've only used it once, but it doesn't make a good bike light as the angle adjust is light & so moves when going over bumps & the handle bar attachment while strong has no allowance to adjust for any section of the bars that aren't 90 degrees to the wheel.. The actual light beam is decent though… Not sure how it would fair as a headlamp ?.. I wouldn't buy again.
