  Really need to introduce different pricing levels for different cities. I've had a VIP sub since your December offer and gotten two emails for movie tickets in Qld. Certainly won't be paying for it if this keeps up.

  Will give a + for the fact that Melbourne people will be getting some decent shows for a few bucks.

    Just checked out promotix page for offers,
    "An $8.95 booking fee applies per transaction (includes your tickets)"

    That's the booking fee to see a movie? Does anyone have good stories about promotix?

      Well worth it.

      Hi DeWalt,

      All PromoTix tickets are free, and the only cost to our members is a booking / admin fee to secure those tickets.

      Our booking / admin fees vary between $2.95 - $8.95 per transaction depending on the event.

      The booking fee includes the tickets to the show (99% of the time that will be 2 tickets)

      The retail value of a pair of tickets ranges between $20 through to $150 depending on the show.

      As a guide:
      If a PromoTix offer includes 2 Complimentary Tickets to a show with a retail value of $30 then the booking/admin fee would be $2.95.
      If a PromoTix offer includes 2 Complimentary Tickets to a show with a retail value of $70 - $150 then the booking / admin fee would be $8.95
      So in almost every instance our members save around 90% on a pair of tickets .

      There are occasional instances when the booking/admin fee is $8.95 for a lesser value but that only applies when we have a very limited allocation to a special event. But even then the saving works out at a minimum of 50%.

      If you are a fan of comedy and intend to see some Melb International Comedy Festival shows though March and April you'll save hundreds of dollars on tickets. by taking up our free VIP Membership offer.

      Why are our tickets available for only a booking fee?
      PromoTix is a promotional tool for Artists, Venues, Promoters and Producers to introduce new audiences to their shows and build word of mouth publicity, by providing us with tickets to distribute to our members.

    We respect and understand your comment. You're right, there are a lot more offers available throughout the year for SA, VIC and NSW.
    There are plans in place to increase QLD offers this year and we look forward to announcing those soon.

  I paid $8 for 2 tickets to the new XxX movie and there were free beers before the movie! Have also. Been to see 3 fringe shows for less than $10 for 2. One being Dave Hughes. I'm also seeing Ghost in the Machine next week..

  OP, when I register and verify the account then upgrade it to VIP, the VIP membership doesn't seem to go through as when I try to access a VIP ticket it tells me to sign up again, but then tells me that the promo code has already been used. Glitch?

    Depending on your computer set up, once you've registered you may need to log out of your account - refresh your browser - then log in again.
    Your account will then allow you to access all ticket offers on our site - VIP (BLUE ticket buttton) & STANDARD (Green ticket buttons)

    We've listed a fabulous range of new tickets today so be sure to check in regularly.
