For those who missed the Similar deal at Woolworths (4L Moro olive oil for $29.99), now Coles sells it for $20 (original RRP $49.95). That's less than 1/2 price.
Promotion is on from Thursday 19/8 to Wed 24/8.

I have stocked up in Wollies the other week, seems that there is abundance of Moro out there, very often on special
That's probably due to the Choice report that came out a few weeks ago showing results from their testing of local and imported olive oils. According to Choice's testing, Coles brand was the best olive oil, followed by Woolworth's (who shared 2nd place with another local brand). I think the conclusion was that these more expensive, imported brands deteriorate greatly in quality by the time they reach our shelves.

Edit: Corrections and clarifications
Is Moro imported and is it an Australian owned brand?

looks like it might be Spanish… Conga foots are importers and distributers…
That RRP is just crap…
There are much better olive oils on the market at around $30-$35 RRP…
JV please elaborate on a higher quality Olive Oil for $30 RRP?
Just go to your local italian or greek deli and ask them…
Our local one has at least a dozen different olive oils from different regions in Greece.
Some of them are excellent and list the different acidities to suit your taste.
(It's kind of like comparing Kraft Cheddar Cheese to King Island Dairy Cheese…)
In eastern melbourne, i get my oil from here…
wow, you live too close to me :p
If you haven't tried them, go there one day… They've got a really good deli section too, but a whole wall is dedicated to oil, most of it olive oil…
cool thanks for the info
I find the extra virgin olive oils from Crete have the most flavour… Sitia is a very good one, but i like to try something different every now and then…

Unfortunately, for those of us in NSW, they are selling it for $25. However, luckily for those of you in Melbourne, be sure to stock up.
