I got The OP3T on eBay 20 percent off for 515 about a month ago.. This phone is amazing.. Coming from a nexus 6p, and an iPhone 6 before that ,I wasn't exactly coming from an old crap phone… But I highly recommend this.. The best phone I've ever owned, and I've owned plenty

    • That band 28 though. At least nexus 6p had it.

      • Haven't missed it yet…

    • $515 wow, can I ask which store?

      • Sorry was 520.. Seller is perfect_mission.

EBay 20 percent code has probably expired though

    • Interesting, I'm looking to get a new phone. What are the biggest things for you that make it better than a 6P.

      • Seems significantly faster /smoother, crashes less.

Prefer fingerprint scanner on front, and this one is much faster and more accurate. and dnd switch/silent switch is handy.

        Better size to hold too.

Just overall, there's nothing I miss from the 6p.

        • Sorry I forgot the biggest thing… The battery life is excellent. And dash charging.. Wow

        • Sounds like me going from 6P to Pixel XL.

        • @OnlinePred: only of you're willing to spend $$

        • @Braintrain1000: Good things cost $$$

  • May I ask the painful old question… band 28? (won't go into long winded explanation as to why I need - but I do).
Fairly au fais with other considerations thankfully… sure is a lot to know.

Really struggling with all that is on offer, never mind what is soon to be :oS

    • +1

      No band 28

      • GAHHHHH!!! … but thanks. :o)

  • Yeah I just don't get how they can produce such a good unit, but leave out key 4G bands, no B28 (700Mhz) is so annoying
my current G3 which is much older and has a better selection, why can't they just have support for all bands on 4G by now, get rid of regional models…

  • It seems to come down to a few frustrating issues for me anyways…

    1. The phone will cost $10,000 if it has all the stuff I need. My budget is around about $500.00.
    2. The phone is both good and cheap but is missing B28, dual sim or NFC. (yes I need B28 - POS/Building penetration/often working at outskirts of Sydney).
    3. The phone is great but needs some expertise to make english etc (and is likely a great match but will have no local warranty and/or certainly nullified by mod/flashing etc).
    4. GAHHHHH!!!! as per above comment again. Rinse repeat, hope to see all in next phone that comes up here! :oS :o)
    5. Big thanks to those who are uploading phones and such! The comments are often very informative and despite what I need am seeing some great deals for others.

Does have dual sim, come in English and not seen any Chinese characters at all.

Dual sim is very handy when travelling overseas

      • +1

Thank you deeps' it does seem a very good deal and I do travel overseas sometimes so you make a good point. ;o)

      • Mate, I'm looking to buy a new device. But very confused btw 3T, LG v20, 7edge…or wait for Lg G6 from greymarket…

  • How would this phone compare to say an S7 as the price difference isnt that huge kinda over samsung atm.

  • +2

If DOA, do you have a return address in Sydney?

  • 6GB? What does that do, aside from reducing battery life?

    • It can fly your phone with supersonic speed or it can provide additional ram to your desktop as well.

    • +2

Should be just enough to accommodate 3 chrome tabs.

      • This must be with the new update! Yay.

  • +2

youtube comparisons people, you will be amazed at the phone you get for the price. Most bang for buck performance I'd say.

  • Dpes it have a DAC?

  • I'm getting $600.14 AUD with the voucher - am I missing something?

EDIT: Oh, USD price is significantly less after conversion at normal rates….

    • AU$ based on exchange rate at time of posting.

NextBuying do not accept AUD and PayPal will convert it to USD during checkout.

      • That's true, but Payal is saying $590 AUD at checkout (with the added $4 Australia Post option).

It's $569 at DWI without any vouchers, in Australian dollars, though i haven't added any express shipping options to the cart there.

        • Thanks for your info. Nextbuying update price again .. pls checkout it .

        • +1

It cheaper on DWI still.. $559 free shipping - Comparing the same Chinese model (A3010).

Nextbuying Chinese model (A3010) is around $575 after conversion at paypal, not really a great deal imo.

The $569 model you looked at was the EU model A3003 with (Band 20) 800MHZ (not used in aus).
I'm looking at getting one of these for the wife and will most likely will be getting the EU version from DWI.

Not for the unneeded band but for sealed out of the box clean os / google play support.
I know they're meant to come with oxygen ox from oneplus but then why would DWI put 'flashed os' on their 3010s.

I am more confident spending $10 extra (569) and paying in aud at DWI, which still works out cheaper than this deal.

          @Dabes:

AU$ based on exchange rate at time of posting.

NextBuying do not accept AUD and PayPal will convert it to USD during checkout.

Oxygen OS is Oneplus International version system, Nextbuying installed all official release ver support OTA and default Google service apps ( play store, gmail , maps etc )

Free gift : soft cases for oneplus 3t.

        • @Dabes: how is DWIs reputation?

Do you thonk 3003 is better than 3010??

        • +1

          @Braintrain1000:

Never had an issue with DWI, purchased a couple of audio technica headsets in the past and an xiaomi mi 5s from eglobal(same mob).

Obviously Grey imports as anywhere else but I feel being more of an 'Australian retailer' (on mobile atm so can't check for abn, accc, etc) but being charged in aud is a bonus. I'd prefer my chances of being understood and receiving support should an issue with a device arrive also.. They may even have a return address in aus although returns still probably go to hk (once again Cbf checking on mobile)

I'd definitely pick 3003 what's $10 in the long run for a guaranteed new sealed product, I'd rather buy something with the correct OS, Google play, ota updates enabled out of the box rather than have next buying, dwi or any other Grey retailer install/flash these.. Also that's added labour for them, yet the Chinese version 3010 is still sold cheaper?

          Just my opinion…

        • +1

@Braintrain1000: Wouldn't have an issue buying a 3010 from say Kogan (provided it was a reasonable saving) as I know they'll most likely come to the party if there's issues.

As I haven't seen any deals it looks like I'll be purchasing a 3003 from dwi for a sealed box and phone with no finger prints on it ;)

        • @Dabes: thanks for your input.

i have a xperia Z3 Atm and it has more pixels than 3t. What do you think about the screen res. Should i go for G6 which is around 800 or should i go with the 3T

        • @Dabes: thanks mate for the info. Yes 3T is very tempting but do you think waiting for a new OP will be a good option?

        • +1

          @Braintrain1000:

Lower res can mean better battery.
My mi 5s has a 1080p display and its honestly all you need on a phone. Resolution turned into a pissing contest between manufacturers. For the price hard to go past a 3t, if you're not in a hurry there's a chance it'll go lower. 570 is reasonable enough for me.
