  • Any info about its toner? Thanks

      It only comes in black.

Toner's a killer on this one. Rather get the entry level Borthers with lots of cheap toners on ebay.

I got one of these back when it was a freebie along with a Ricoh SP250DN (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/191861) and while genuine toners are too expensive, if you don't mind doing the refill option, I have used toner refill kits from Tonerstop without any issues (http://www.tonerstop.com.au/ricoh-sp-213nw). The 'hole tool' is just a soldering iron with a fixed round collar and once you have put the holes in the toner cartridges you don't really need to use it again, but I did get one just for the convenience. Happy to comment further if anyone is interested.

Coincidentally I also used TonerStop recently and bought the tool as well (for a colour printer so needed to refill CMYKB cartridges). They were really fast with shipping and the toner quality seems really good (they claim it is the same as official). I was thinking of getting a cheap b+w laser so good to know they have refills for this offer.

Just a general comment on this printer though - it doesn't handle anything too complex. It is a great little basic laser for punching out basic Word documents and spreadsheets, but doesn't handle a graphically complex PDF that well.

        • but doesn't handle a graphically complex PDF that well.

Wouldn't that be an issue with the driver you are using rather than the printer?

        • @jv: Quite possibly, although it only has 128MB RAM which limits it as well.

          Oh…. I pass then…

I bought this a couple of days ago https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/fuji-xerox…

For $84.55 officeworks price beat Bing Lee (went to the works since Bing had none locally).

Much better option in my opinion. 30ppm. Still wireless but with automatic duplex.

Genuine 2.6k toner is $89 from Bing Lee. And the drum is replaceable for another 12k pages.

Or 5x 2.6k generic on Ebay for $63 if you trust it. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-x-CT202330-Generic-BLACK-HY-2-6…
