    i actually have a hp laptop like this one, and its been really good, have had it for about 6 months now and no problems. Why do you say hp laptops are a bad go?

      I too have a similar dv2700 for like 2 years now without a hiccup. But i can see people using one of these in bed with the blankets covering the back vents causing a meltdown.
