David Attenborough's Frozen Planet The Complete Series Blu-ray £8.79 (~AUD $14) Delivered @ Amazon UK

1080

Now cheaper than the past popular deal, enjoy :)

Narrated by Sir David Attenborough and from the award-winning team behind Planet Earth & Blue Planet comes the ultimate portrait of the earth's Polar regions.

The Arctic and Antarctic remain the greatest wildernesses on Earth. The scale and beauty of the scenery and the sheer power of the elements – the weather, the ocean and the ice – is unmatched anywhere else on our planet. Yet these harsh environments are teeming with life: home to iconic animals from polar bears to emperor penguins and from killer whales to wandering albatrosses.

Using the latest camera technology to film on land, from the air, underwater and below the ice caps, Frozen Planet follows their fascinating lives throughout the seasons as they struggle to survive. With spectacular polar landscapes and amazing animal behaviour, often filmed for the first time, it captures the drama of an extreme natural world.

With both Poles under grave threat from climate change, this extraordinary series may be the last chance to witness these great wildernesses before they change forever.

I'm amazed of the quality it presents to me.
If you don't have one, get it and watch it.
You can spend a whole afternoon on this and you would feel you are so freshened after you watch this.

  • Great deal. Just purchased.

I already have Life and Planet Earth, the Natural History Collection and Wonders of the Universe.

  • Highly recommend. Got the last deal from Amazon UK, arrived in a week and is appointment viewing every weekend. Brilliant series!

Paid much more a year or two ago…
    Completely worth it.
    Recommended.

  • There's a postage charge on this item, or is there a way to get rid of it?

Otherwise the title may need to be updated.

You must be new to Ozbargain :).
Amazon UK takes off VAT tax then adds shipping to Australia - so final price is as stated on the post delivered.

Note that price may have increased as per other posts

      • Yep, you caught me :D

I just followed the link, and saw some discrepancies at checkout:

        Items: GBP 7.00
        Postage & Packing: GBP 3.58
        Total before VAT: GBP 10.58
        VAT: GBP 0.00

        (Order Total: GBP 10.58)
        Payment Total: AUD 17.82

They must have changed price from between the original post and now. Always one step behind… sigh

  • says does not ship to Australia, am I doing something wrong?

  • Can anyone suggest a Blu-Ray reader i can stick in my PC?
I'm collecting Blu-Ray's but got no reader.

I know MSY sell a writer, but i don't need one of them.
Just a DVD Writer/Reader that also happens to read Blu-Rays.

BTW, how long can i string a HDMI cable?
The net says i might have trouble with 10m…

And this growth on my arm - what's that about?
    OK i'm done.

      Gaming console? Eg ps3

The issue with the PC is one of software - it's usually user hostile.

You can basically only find blu-ray writers for PC nowadays.

A cheapo player unit, or an old PS3, is probably the best route.

Anything over about 7m on HDMI cable starts being hassle.

    • It's probably cancer, get that shit checked out brah.
