    Its not confusing at all.

    It would be either
    "Buy 2 and get 1 free" or
    "Buy 2 and get 1 on them for free"

      They have the same meaning when I read them…

      A less ambiguous title would say something like "Buy 2 Movies & Get a 3rd for Free"
