Just saw on 7-Eleven Australia Facebook page that the $2 Wednesday Sandwiches are back in March. This time they also include Sushi. I have never seen Sushi in any of the stores across Sydney that I have been to though. So can't comment on how good the Sushi are

@qwerty:
These are sandwiches, made by hand. I can't really think of any machines. Oh maybe their refrigeration broke down. That or Health Department raid, lol.
Huge PR fail 711!Includes just the Aussie Beef Pie, the original sausage roll and the ricotta and spinach roll. Not sure how much the rolls are but the pie is normally $3.
Same in Melbourne's West.
Sign says try our sushi instead but there was no sushi in sight…
there is sign on the shelf saying "sushi and pastry $2". No $2 Sandwiches today!! a very misleading PR from 7-11.
Yeah had that at my store too (11 Collins St, Melb). Was told that it was only the 'Aussie Beef Pie' and the sausage rolls (original and the Spinach and Ricotta varieties) that were $2.
7-11 at North Ryde (cnr Waterloo & Ryde Road) had lots of stocks of all the $5 sandwiches and limited sushi.
I got a couple of sandwiches (ham cheese tomato) - tried them but they were pretty stale. Use by is 9/3 (tomorrow). There doesn't appear to be any 'packed on' sticker, so I assume you just reverse engineer by the use-by date…
Just tasted their sushi. At least with the sandwiches, you could heat them up for 20 seconds, and they taste good. Their sushi, however, ugh, they've used the cheapest rice available, just like the sunrice I bought a while ago, quickly dries up.
I imagine how disgusted the average Japanese person would be if they tried this gross, dry floor scrapings that 711 call sushi. So much delicious food available in convenience stores in Japan.
This sushi is something else. So bad that it's amazing.
just picked up a bunch of sangers!
$2 sign on the sliding fridge door
sanwiches and sushinot bad at all!
So is it $2 for a sandwich and sushi? Or $2 each.
Title is confusing me lol
$2 for a sandwich and sushi
You wish!
7 Eleven finally posted an official response online re: the situation in VIC today:
"Victorian supplier advised that during some routine testing, a potential food quality issue was identified in a small sample of an ingredient within their facility, and as a precautionary measure we removed all salads and sandwiches from our shelves. Further testing is being conducted but at this stage this is a precautionary measure only and there’s been no reports of any concerns with the sandwiches. We have extended our $2 Tasty Wednesday promotion to include all of our hot pastries this Wednesday (in Victoria only)."Wow so it is health issues. Must have found salmonella or something similar. I am guessing they are remaining closed to decontaminate everything.
Hope it wasn't roaches…
Plenty at Chatswood Interchange 7/11, in fact they were restocking when I entered the shop. So shortage probably just VIC.
Plenty of Sushi and Sandwiches at 7-Eleven Tooronga Valley(Hawthorn East) on Toorak road near Monash Freeway entrance, just had a sandwich.
Even if it's half as good as the Sushi at 7-11 in Japan I would travel for it. Man I lived on that stuff.
Remember to check the used by date on the packet peeps. I got a sushi that was well 2 days over the used by date on the 1st of March. I did get some vouchers after contacting 7-11 after.
Just picked up a Chicken & Avocado Sandwich from the George St store (Sydney).
Heaps of Sandwiches available, Ham, bacon, egg, chicken etc.
Quite good for $2, enjoyed itI picked up the tuna sushi for lunch today. They are filling but terrible in taste and texture. It's basically bland tuna wrapped inside gluggy rice. How can a supplier to 7-eleven manage to mess up sushi this much! On the way home, picked up a bacon and egg sandwich and threw it in the grill. A much better meal!
I made the same mistake, worst sushi I've ever had.
I was walking up Blaxland rd Ryde and saw a sign 7-11 saying $2 each sandwiches and Sushi. Went into the store and there was no promos out, all the Sushi's and sandwiches said $5. I figured it was a scam and left the store because I figured the each ment the pack contains 2 1/2 sandwiches and the sushi packs had 2 1/2 sushi's in them so I supposed the pack would be $4. I didn't ask, I just left. I was pretty hungry too because I hadn't had any breakfast or lunch.
The $2 sandwich or $2 sushi offer is on Wednesdays only, during the month of March.
I was there on Wednesday, there was no in store advertising.
The sandwiches and the sushi would have cost you $2 each. It's not a scam. Just ask in store.
Just get him to swipe the barcode.
It's always $2 for all Sandwiches & Sushi in March, and comes up correctly on the till.
No scam.
Does anyone know, is it ONLY the $5 Sandwiches that are reduced to $2?
Or are the more expensive Deluxe $7 & $8 Sandwiches ones also reduced to $2?
(eg: 7/11 Rye bread sandwich range)What 7/11 Stores carries the $7 Range in Sydney, Central Coast or Newcastle?
I couldn't see ANY during March, but all of them did so in February!
Yes but the word is that they only deliver the $5 ones fresh for Wednesday so there might be others there but probably stale from the day before.
Also: New pulled pork = gross mystery- meat meatloaf. Not goodYep that's my experience, all samwidges are $2 but the $7 are quite stale. Pulled pork was ok, just ok, but bread was stale as anything. My pick are the chicken or chicken and avo
Won the jackpot this morning. Picked up a pulled pork sangha.
Scored two pulled pork sandwiches from 7eleven Lonsdale St, at 8am. Tastes amazing toasted.
I have never bought any sandwiches from 7 eleven. Gut feeling is not fresh
Ok i had a egg and lettuce with creamy mayo, couldn't taste Mayo at all haha, anybody agree with me?
Yeah I thought they were really plain

Did they say specifically why?
It's a huge PR fail to advertise a special and then mysteriously not deliver. It really annoys customers.
