$200 cheaper in previous deal I think most ozbargainer will just wait.

Yea and was $699 at one stage, that was a ripper deal which I got mine from HN I believe.

    • Yep $699 after the $100 cash back. Probably won't see a deal that good again.

  • Does it do Latte Art ?

Yes, but you will need a Barista for that (not included / sold separately)

you will need a Barista for that

        Would a solicitor suffice ?

        • Not if you want someone wearing the wig and gown. Only barristers get that privilege.

But if you find a solicitor that's a barista, or a barrister that's also a barista, then you're winning :)

      • Do they really sell baristas?

How does this inexpensive gadget compare with the Morezzinato Luxinello Intimidatore Turbo Nutter Bastard Ghia 4.3 Deluxe?

  • I think these machines are end of line - I expect if they don't sell at this price they'll lower the price again substantially to get rid of them.
I grabbed the last stand alone machine from Bing Lee for $899 (was for work so didn't really mind the price).

    • Is there a new model at a similar price point? There seems to only be the much more expensive and much cheaper models around in the similar product line.

It's this and the oracle at the top end for Breville. No news of any replacement model just yet so I highly doubt it's end of line.

        • Only thing I dislike about the Oracle is the auto milk frother. Its crap. You need to use so much milk to get it to froth properly. Had I known that, I prob would have bought this and the stand alone grinder and saved a few dollars. IMO the grinder on the oracle seems pretty good. I also have a Mazzer Mini, and if their is a difference its not noticeable in the taste of the coffee

        • @Sammyboy:

Yea I like and own the BES920, feels like you have more control over the coffee preparation than an Oracle (which my mate has and I like as well).

Both great machines that make great coffee!

        • @Sammyboy: The grinder in the Oracle is basically the same as the Smart Grinder Pro (same main mechanical components) that the Dual Boiler is typically bundled with as the "Dynamic Duo" kit. I didn't know about the auto milk frothing function on the Oracle, glad I "settled" on the Dual Boiler instead now.

        • @ASeawright: Yes the auto frother only works effectively if the milk is over a certain level in the jug, even when switched to manual mode. I'd estimate it as close to 175 mls required. Any lower and your really only getting hot milk with very small amount of microfoam on the top. So now we are going though much more milk than we used to at work

  • These machines are brilliant, but I'd wait for it to get down to the 800 mark again :)

    • Pretty sure you could still walk into a Good Guys store and pick it up using the receipt I posted previously. However after these run out I think it will be a while before the new model gets anywhere near these prices (or even under $1000 tbh).

  • Only if this came with a grinder…

  • There's a guy on gumtree selling a new one in Sydney for $880 I suppose if you want it cheaper…
