  Air tools good value when their half price
  Also socket sets need to be cheaper than this to be good value
  Big hint: only buy tools in metal containers and you'll have them for a lifetime

  Any discount is great, but I wouldn't declare it a massive sale myself. Seems like one of their run of the mill sales, and oftentimes you can find some tools cheaper than this sale, particularly some Stanley socket sets and also the belt drive Stanley air comp. which often is 50% off.

  I find SCA and Repco pricing so inconsistent and annoying. 2 catalogues before, the air compressor "was" $200, "now" $150, and then the following catalogue with a 50% off sale will have the same damn thing "was" $360, "now" $180. Then you'll have a MASSIVE SALE with "was" $240, "now" $140. It's so confusing.

  Rant aside, what's a decent basic air compressor from SCA? Level 0 basic jobs, no spraying.

    SCA at least has member price protection thing.

    decent basic air compressor? ebay. I bought a pair of used 2.5hp compressors off ebay for $76. sold one for $70 cash to a neighbour.
