do you stop flying on planes every time there is a crash, even when the statistics tell you it is safer than getting on a train?

      • This isn't a plane.

          No shit genius.

Thus why less people are going to Dreamworld…

Went there yesterday afternoon with the kids after school, literally no wait on any of the kids rides, they probably got more turns in an hr and a half that most would on a busy day. Very good value at the moment especially whilst it isn't as busy.

I was there on Saturday and didn't have to line up. By 3pm the place was a ghost town.

  • They used to have buy-3-get-1-free deal. I reckon if this sales doesn't go well they would add that on the deal.

At this point I think they would want more foot traffic even it's going to cost them in the short term. Hence all the 2016 yearly passes have been extended by 6 months.

Not to mention the new Lego store doesn't really help anyway. Everything there is selling at full retail price. You get cheaper deals at BigW and Target when they have the 20% lego sales.

    • Are there any exclusive Lego sets at least? (or anything that would warrant a visit?)

I don't think there is anything there worth buying. I couldn't find anything Dreamworld or Australia exclusive. They said the blue VW is (ID 10252) is exclusive but a simple Google search reveals they sell them in other places like Amazon.

Drove past a few weeks back and car park was only 25% full…

    Closing down sale?

Dreamworld is probably the safest theme park in Australia atm. Their engineering team would have ramped up on safety inspection and with more frequent checks on equipments.

    • LOL so true

If I lived in Brisbane/Gold Coast I would be visiting Dreamworld frequently, despite what happened late last year.
My ex & I traveled to the Gold Coast this time last year, and we had more fun at Dreamworld/Whitewater World, than we did at the other 3 parks combined.

Season passes were $65 for adults and $44 for kids a couple of weeks ago. I bought some and the family has gone twice. Amazing value. If you're worried about safety just don't go… and I'll get more rides.

  • I went to buy that deal but missed it by 1 day. Absolutely gutted. Hope it comes aroung again. My kids really want to go to White Water World. So damn hot

deal is dead in the water
