Here's the sales pitch for this type of cooking:
The churrasco method of barbecuing results in flavours that have to be tasted to be believed. Even without adding garnishes and sauces like chimichurri, the meat is roasted on a special Brazilian grill in a manner that keeps all the tasty juices inside each cut. No more dry, flavourless, overdone snags!

  • Ref links are banned on OzBargain. Mods should amend this post.

Mod: Referral links are fine as long as it's in the description part and moneybackco doesn't offer a cashback. Please look at affliate links.

Affiliate links are generally not welcomed over here in OzBargain. Not that we do not want you to make money, but instead we already have a very good cashback scheme in place that is partnered with many affiliation networks in Australia. Therefore by using your link, our members might miss out the chance of getting cashback, which makes your deal more expensive!

However, if there is no affiliation network that can provide cashback to our members, i.e. they will have to pay the same amount anyway if they don't click through your link, then the moderators here might turn a blind eye on it. Please make sure that you put enough declaration in your post about the affiliate link.

Please make sure that you put enough declaration in your post about the affiliate link.

      Steps to take:

Check whether this merchant already has commission cashback offered by sites like MoneyBackCo. If No, then
Make sure you declare your affiliation link. For example,
It contains my affiliation link, and if you click through and make purchase, I will be getting commission from your purchases.
You can also provide a non-affiliate link (optional).

  • I am trying to check moneybackco website (very, very slow btw) but its search engine says Sorry no merchants found matching your search string for ouffer.

Edit: also checked the competition website to MBC (name withheld) and no affliation either.

I have put the direct link to the deal from the beginning, so feel free.

But if you don't care, I appreciate the referral bonus. Thanks guys.

  • been looking for an excuse to try a brazilian bbq place.
over 800 ppl have taken up the offer already though. wonder if its a big restaurant (easy to get booking fri + sat nite)

  • Reviews here:
    http://www.eatability.com.au/au/sydney/churras-the-brazillia…

After a quick skim, it seems they don't do so well with large groups, so maybe just stick to going with a few friends!

    • +1

Note: Some reviews in eatibility are not genuine (i.e. sock puppet). Only some can be trusted.

In this restaurant's case, 3 out of 10 reviews are not genuine. Simply have a look at the mark they give, and check the reviews that they have done. All of them give perfect mark (or close to perfect), but each reviewer only ever review this restaurant only.

Just something to be aware of.

      • Yeah, definitely aware of it… gotta take everything you read there with a pinch of salt ;)

Shame they don't have mods as vigilant as on Ozbargain!

      • I also find that it could work the other way. Competitor restaurants can neg others quite easily.

Rule of thumb for me is to put more trust in reviewers with >5 under their belt.

        • Heh, yeah have seen that too. Mebbe it all balances out in the long run lol

  • I've heard good things about this place from friends so this is a great chance to check it out. Anyone know when this has to be used by?

    • Coupons expire 29 January, 2011

Weird my confirmation email says 31 January, 2011

6 months is a lot of Brazilian BBQ to have

  • Thanks for this, bought two!

    • I bought more than that :). I did a surprise bday dinner at similar place to this one on Williams St in the City and it was Unbelievable. Tip: dont fill your stomach with first things they bring out, there is plenty of selection and all very filling and it keeps coming out, so just ask if you missed out on something.

  • wow.. 1200+ people bought… if some of them bough 2-3.. then… WOW

    • i think it counts the coupons, not the ppl

  • Thanks !! Perfect for winter :)

  • I am holding back because I never feel I can get good value out of all-you-can-eat offers!

    • how do you mean?

A normal meal at a restaurant costs $15 (or more… or less if you consider McDonalds a restaurant)

If this place is anything like the one at Williams St, then its HUGE value cause we thought it was good value at $35 that time.

      • In my experience, most restaurants try to make a profit even with the biggest of eaters.
Hence the food tends to be of less quality than individually ordered meals.

In past experience with all-you-can-eat restaurants, the quantity eaten and quality of food has been far less than the price paid.

However $15 for a meal is cheap — it is just not compelling enough for me! I don't think I'd get a good quality meal for that price. All-you-can-eat is all about quantity, not quality.

        • fair enough but from my experience at another churasco, the quality was great.

also even the negative feedback on that review site linked to above does not critisise the food, rather the service of getting the food (and that seemed to depend on where you were seated and how busy they were).

Anyway I'm willing to give it a go.

  • Thanks sash213, just picked up 4

    • It might be that they are shut on Thursdays until 6pm… nobody there to answer the phone.

    • +1

have any one actually managed to book in the near future??? .. looks like more than 2,200

      and counting ….now 2,500 (at 5pm AEST).

You may not be able to get in until 2011 !

  • I have eaten here several times. Love all you can eat Brazilian.

The atmosphere is not pretentious, but the service is friendly.

It's a good place to take friends before or after a footy game at the SFS…

    Check their web site- www.churras.com.au

  • and its sold out!!!

    • Well, expired technically =) Though with 3577 coupons purchased, this restuarant's gonna be real busy for a while!

      • Nope, not expired, sold out with no warning that the offer was limited. other than by time. Time wise it was supposed to be running until early Saturday.

  • Churras isn’t accepting Ouffer vouchers which is pretty bullshit. Never buying a voucher from Ouffer, Scoopon or anything similar ever again. I urge everyone to submit a formal complaint to the ACCC for misleading, deceptive advertising. It would be so great to see these companies get slammed with an ACCC penalty, hopefully teaching them a lesson about business ethics or putting them out of business forever (with their tactics, they don’t deserve to be in business)

So please guys, make a formal complaint to the ACCC. These companies probably think most consumers out there don’t know their rights and will just give up if they have been ripped off. Know your rights (ACCC website) and don’t give in to this crap.

Note: Churras will only accept 30 vouchers a night. Weekends have been booked out until March next year. Read your vouchers guys, no where does it say "30 vouchers will be accepted per night" nor does it say it on the original advertisement link on Ouffer.
